If a baseball player is standing in fair territory, attempts to catch an infield fly ball, drops the ball, the ball while in the air was in foul territory and after is dropped lands in foul territory, is the ball fair or foul?

It's a foul ball. The ball is judged fair or foul by where the ball is when it is touched by the player. If the umpire judges the ball is over foul territory when the player touched it, it's a foul ball. Unlike football and basketball, it's the location of the ball when touched - not the location of the player (or the players' feet) when he touched the ball. Rule 2.00 A FOUL BALL is a batted ball that...while on or over foul territory, touches the person of an umpire or player, or any object foreign to the natural ground.
