  • From birth on, we are slowing dying. It speeds up as we past a certain age, which varies from person to person, depending on their health of course. But from day one, it is a count UP age wise, but a count down, as far as how many days left to LIVE.
  • it's not the body, it's the spirit so not at a particular age but when you give up your spirit to laziness and stupidity.
  • The argument can be made that between the end of puberty and around age 25 is when the body starts winding down its big building projects. After then, the body usually just replaces old cells, without really adding anything new. And even this rebuilding of what the body already has begins to decline from this point. Hormonal levels and other biochemical factors also start dropping off, as well. So I would have to say this is when we start the (hopefully) long road to death.
  • I should think the answer to that would be the minute we are born. When we were 1 second old, wasn't that 1 second closer to our death?
  • I agree with tek-25 is when health insurance premiums go up!
  • We start the dying process the day that we are born..to actually watch the process itself is interesting and thought provoking at the same time (an RN in a nursing home..I see it all the time)
