Question

Help answer this question below.

If earth revolved a star that was part of a globular star cluster, would earth's sky be "day"-light all the time? What would the sky look like with so many stars? Would there be collisions? Or would it be impossible for a planet to survive in a cluste

A planet would not be able to survive in the conditions that you set. There are many other variables that would contribute to what would happen to a planet in such a system, which is why it is hard to pinpoint exactly what would happen in the star cluster that you are talking about. If all of the stars were as big as our sun, then it would be chaotic. And like I said, there are plenty of other factors such as star size and the size of our planet relative to the size of the star(s) to consider.

A quite relevant page to your question is here:

So, indeed, it is quite bright inside the globular clusters. I seem
to recall an essay that says you could read newspaper all night, so maybe not really as bright as daylight.

Speculation regarding the missing planets in globular clusters: these
are very old stars, maybe first generation (formed from primordial hydrogen).
So they may be missing all the heavier elements that were generated in stars and ejected in novae, supernovae, and those elements (Si, Fe, you name it) are constituents of earthlike planets.
