Does anyone know how to make an injection hurt less?

    okay what you do is...
    1. dont look at the needle!
    2. think about that the injection is going to help you
    3. DONT think about the pain
    4. close your eyes
    5. DONT tense your arm
    6. losen your arm, and breath deeply
    7. talk to the nurse/doctor about something complleatly different!
    I've got my cervical cancer jam tomorrow at school and im so scared! :D

    I take 4 injections a day. Ask for very fine needles and think about something nice.

    just dont think about it i brought a mp3 and put in my ears, if your school wont let you pinch your other arm as it happens and it wont hurt as much, a good way 2 distract is to talk to the nurse about something comepletely different , and wot eva u do dont look at the needle. the needles only half an inch long its this long: _________. see, no worries :D

    um...

    1. Get someone to pinch you on the other arm and you won't feel it

    2. Dont think "IM going to get an injection", THink "It wont hurt"

    3. Take an Ipod or Mp3player

    4. Look the other way or close your eyes

    5. Exaggerate and think... it will hurt and my arm will die, then later it won't hurt that much

    go to your local pharmacy and ask for a cream called emula rub it on the arm the morning you are due to have the injection.
