Its nice that you are applying all this stuff to your face, how are you feeding your skin in general?
Water is one of the most important - if you are not drinking enough water (or liquids low in sugars and caffine) then you most likely are dehydrated.
Fats are essential - if you eat a low fat diet or the 'bad' fats more than the 'good' fats then the result is dry skin.
Foods and the helpful minerals/vitamins:
1. Foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids: salmon, flaxseed, tuna, avocado, nuts
2. Foods that contain zinc: oysters, crab, beef, and beans. Zinc helps heal wounds.
3. Foods rich in sulfur: garlic, onions, and eggs. They help to keep your skin smooth.
4. Water.
5. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. These diuretics will suck your skin dry.
Also a multivitamin one a day type.
To treat and sooth the skin while you are feeding it use an aloe and/or vitamin E moisturizer - preferably one with out mineral oil (petroleum oil) in it.
If this is a recent change and there has been no change in your diet, or where you live/work spend your day - then see a doctor - there are several conditions and illnesses which manifest a symptom of dry skin.
if you have dry skin and dont have problem with oil or large pores or pimples....then don't focus so much on cleansing...focus on moisture....get a cleanser for mature skin, it doesn't strip the oils. Some people use oatmeal....just oatmeal mixed with water....try Neutrogena products, I'm sure you'll find one you like.
I like pure glycerin for moisture, its about 3 bucks a bottle at cvs. Neutrogena's oil free intense moisutizer is my favorite. Try Alpha Hydrox products also, you can find them at Drugstore.com, I've heard great things about the cleanser.

You're reading My face feels really dry, I've tried loads of products, Clinique, L'Oreal, Body Shop but after about a week, my skin feels horrible and tight. I don't have time for cleansing and toning, so does anyone know of a great facewash?
