You only get 5 minutes to edit. After that, it is Answerbag History, archived forever in the annals of AB fartgas.

You have about 5 minutes, only, to edit a question. When you click on it, it will bring you to the answer page (where people can answer it), and will have an [EDIT] on the end of it. Click THAT, and you can change it. Once that [EDIT] disappears, it's in the books forever. Don't worry too much about typos, if you accidentally did some. With the spelling and grammar around here, no one will notice. (And if they do and complain in the answer, you can say you didn't notice until it was too late!) If you wish to clarify your question, answer it with your clarification. Many times people will read through all answers before they answer, and if they notice yours, will read it, and understand. If they don't and answer, point them to it (right-click the permalink of your answer, highlight "Copy Shortcut" (IE) or "Copy Link Location" (FF) or whatever it is for your browser, and paste that in your responding comment to their answer, with the explanation about missing the chance to edit the original question. Hope that helps! ;-) Welcome to AB. Check out my profile for other AB questions and answers (look for that heading).

Like the others said, you just have five minutes after submitting your question. That's why you are given two chances usually to get your question right. But if you find a question is causing problems, you could either ask if it is possible to get it removed if it is nonsense or offenisve, by a community leader. Or you could clarify your question by answering it yourself and adding details, hoping that will help
