  • Part of the reason they are in the mess is people not being responsible and failing to pay loans they agreed to pay. It's not all the lenders fault. I think they should go after those who entered into loans and have failed to pay, causing a financial burden on the rest of us.
  • They should not have to pay.I goes to show that the very people that were elected do not give a damn about listening to the public that voted them in.The only ones that will gain will be the ones on Wall Street, and the elected officials. It will not help the one's that need it the most. The bailout should have been put into a fund and went directly to the people that have lost their homes because of the dishonest banking practices.
  • you should not have to pay . but you are in a fix now . American economy has been a lie for 30 years . 70 % is consumer driven each one unit is valued two in the stock market each unit is traded 70 times , in the end you still only have one unit .how could you have not seen it coming?
  • I agree, even if it were the right thing to do there's not going to be anyone competent to manage this bail out! From what I hear the government won't even tell us who's getting most of the money or why! I'm even wondering if the bankers who screwed up in the first place are being fired or left in position to screw up the bail out too.
