one reason is that the angle of the camera is easier when the porn starts are doing it doggie style, after all they do like getting close ups. i think the other reason is that its arousing, the guy can slap her ass as hes doing her, or he can pull her hair to make himself go deeper, or they can show the girls facial expression of lust as as she clinches the sheets every time he thrusts. oh my i am getting all worked up. but the camera angle is the biggest reason i think.

Probably partly because it is hard to film missionary in an explicit visual way with close ups etc. It is harder to get missionary looking 'hardcore' because you cannot see much of the vulva or motion which is a big turn on for most people.
Similarly, how many people actually fuck in the reverse cowgirl position with the woman absolutely upright (and looking extremely uncomfortable as well as struggling to move) that is so popular in porn?
