  • I would have thought they would have to be out on the day your lease expires and you move out. I wouldn't leave them there unless you have an arrangement with the lessor.
  • You should remove them when you leave. If you've given the keys back to the landlord, he may have put your stuff in storage for a short time, then he can do with them what he wants. If you haven't, get them out NOW. I was in an apartment, and we moved into another apartment about 100 feet away. We took our time, because we thought we had it. Turns out we didn't. We had one more set of boxes with a LOT of good stuff in it left to move, and needed to clean out the shed. We went to work, expecting to get everything left that evening. When we got there, they had (supposedly) tossed everything IN the apartment and shed away. We went to the dumpsters, and, of course, the trash men had been there that day, supposedly after they'd tossed everything. We had garden tools, a ladder, brand new knives (still in the package, on top in the box), papers, other kitchen stuff, a collection of glasses I had, and a bunch of other stuff. Get it out, ASAP. Otherwise, you may end up in the same situation.
