depends on where the injury is, but really, I'd say that when the skin *looks* healed, give it about two more days. Because taking them out before you should is way worse than taking them out a little late.

i was readig the answers to this question and its really the doctors who should remove stiches,if you accidentally pull on them youll reopen the wound.

Why are you taking them out? Usually the doc takes them out or they are the kind that are absorbed. I would think you could cause lots of problems, depending upon where the stitiches are-infections, tearing the wound, etc, by removing them yourself. Be careful.

It was a legit question/answer, you took it the wrong way. If it was such a horrible answer then can you explain why I have points for my answer and you have none for the question even though 6 people have answered it? I'm intelligent enough to know not to give or take medical advice on line.
