From what ive heard and experianced, they arent the best, but theyre not the worst. So if your not looking for the best out there but not the worst, go for it.
Spam! Pimp
No,I have one when I go and play what I've learned on it on one of my friends nicer guitars. It sounds better.Things srarted braking on it right away.I would'nt buy one.
I purchased the Esteban electric/acoustic guitar with training cd's and amp and case I am a beginner really wanting to learn but dont think I made the right choice amp has radio stations coming through and guitar rings alot when strumming
NO they are not good guitars.
I purchased the acoustic electric guitar package with guitar, amp, extra strings, soft case, etc....it's an ok guitar, but not recommended for beginners. Action is too high, neck too "thick", quality lacking, tuners don't hold position, etc. The nut actually fell off while I was changing strings. Any experienced guitarist wouldn't go near one. Best part of the package is the amp, instructional cd, and case! I seriously doubt that Estaban actually plays one of these in his concerts! My recommendation is to do some homework, play a bunch of different guitars, and purchase one of the dozens of good quality, name-brand guitars on the market. I would NOT recommend the Esteban guitar.
crap guitars. Unfortunately, the action on cheap guitars is very high (the strings are high off the fretboard, so you need to push harder, and most likely hurt your novice fingers). Crap wood.
You get what you pay for. These are entry level instuments and if you've ever had a Gibson Les Paul in your arms....nuff said. I bought the Celestial Nights guitar so I would have a spare around whenever I can get a novice friend interested in learning to play a little. It comes in handy as a practice guitar A LOT!! It's also kind of pretty in a "Made in China" way. I would not complain about this guitar. Good Luck
I Just purchased this Guitar 2 weeks ago. I think it is awesome. I tuned it twice, and it has stayed in tune since. My friend who has much nicer Acoustic Electrics, is jazzed! The whole package is $ 198.00. The amp and case cover at least $ 50.00. what a deal. Thank you Esteban.....Rockstar/Eugene Oregon
every Esteban I've ever played was decent, but nothing special... But someone gave me an Esteban a few months back... and it's actually one of the nicest sounding guitars i've played. just the one guitar though. Sanded down the nut so the strings wouldn't be so high and sounds great. threw a custom paintjob on it and i play it every week and people always brag about the look and sound of it. So I would say Estebans are like most guitar companies... They have their ups and downs. Most of their guitars suck... But the kind i have is great. 4.5 out of 5 stars
very disppointed with my malaguena. tuning knobs broke off of mine that my wife bought for me and it has probably been played a total of 15 times. what a rip...and if that's not bad enough I have looked everywhere I can think of and cannot find these parts to fix it with. what a great guitar if you like looking at it cause you sure can't play it! pathetic
G'day DaBear,

I've owned an Estaban acoustic-electric guitar for about 2 years now and it has held up nicely. It is a low price guitar however it does have some exceptional quality. If you decide to purchase one I recommend taking it to the local guitar shop that has a luthier who can change the plastic nut and bridge to bone as well as adjust the action (lowering the strings closer to the neck) making it an easier instrument to play. All guitars have their limitations, that's the reason there are so many different types, some sounds are easier created on electric, whereas others are easier create on acoustic. I've been playing guitar for about 35 years now and feel that it's not the guitar but the player that makes the guitar sound good. This is a good beginner guitar for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I paid $99 for the guitar +shipping + $35 for the adjustments and it plays great. It's not a Taylor or a Martin, but what do you expect for $100!
If your into "collecting" and not "playing" all that much, then the various Estaban Guitars set a nice artistic "look" in any home or apartment setting on a guitar stand. The "lessons" alone, which are included with other packaged attributes, are worth the entire value. Hey! It's Estaban! A "master"! Your own private teacher in your home "showing" you "how" to play the right way from "jump street"! Don't let the pundits sway you from owning "thousands" of dollars worth of private lessons, simply because Estaban had to make the best guitar he could under the circumstances of his "business model". Buy the thing and get a higher end guitar "later" when you know how to play from "him" really, really well!
I purchased the granada classical guitar about a year and half ago. Hard strumming created a buzz sound, which I easily fixed by raising the action a little bit. One of the tuning pegs quit working, so I replaced them for about $30. Except for these minor issues I am very pleased with the guitar. The guitar has very good sound and is a very nice looking guitar, a bargain for under $200. I've gone into several guitar shops and compared guitars and I feel that the Esteban guitar sounds just as good as other guitars costing twice as much money. I don't really understand all of the extremely negative reviews. I'm beginning to think that some people (perhaps disgruntled music store workers) are resentful that Esteban offers alot of value when one purchases one of his guitars. I forgot to mention that the case was a good one and the dvds are very helpful. I'm glad I ignored the bad reviews because I got a good guitar for the money spent.
