Oldtimers: can you explain the history of the site for us. Like: when did the new site go up; how did it affect existing members; how is new different from old?

    In the beginning Tim created the web.

    And the web was without wisdom or clarity; and darkness was upon the face of the googlers. And the spirit of Joel moved upon the face of the hyperlinks.

    And Joel said, Let there be Questions: and there were Questions.

    And Joel saw the questions, that they were good. And Joel divided the questions into sections.

    And Joel called the sections Categories, and the Categories where Pill and Pregnant and Miscellaneous. And the evening and the morning were the first Rating Period.

    And Joel said, Let there be users, and admins, and let not the twain intermix together, excessively, lest there be too many questions about bug fixes.

    And Joel divided the users into levels, and badges, and groups. And Joel saw that it was good.

    And Joel said, Let there be Answers, and let the answers come out of their fingers, and out of their mouths, and out of their butts. And the evening and the morning was the second rating period.

    And the users came and multiplied, and filled the bag, From the beginners to the sages, from the experts to the stabledog, the Users did speak and question and answer and troll, and Joel saw that it was good.

    And Joel said, Let there be Advertisers, and let them multiply like the stars. And let them send forth their payments and enrich the bag. And Joel saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third rating period.

    And the users said, It is not good that there should be trolls. In sooth, we have been rated down on all of our answers, and we are sorely dismayed. And the users banished the trolls to the sewers, where they did fester and grow very angry in the septic water.

    And the users said, Let there be a page, and let that page be named "What do you look like?", and let that page be the page upon which shall be written all of the knowledge of the users, in comments and pictures, and let that page grow to many megabytes so that none shall be able to read it lest the knowledge become visible to all and we should no longer be naked and free in the garden.

    And it came to pass that the Page of What Do You Look Like grew to fill the entire bag, and then continued to grow and filled the entire Web, and then broke free of its bindings and consumed the entire world.

    And Joel saw that it was bad.

    WAIT! I also want you to share any site secrets you know as well. (Like I didn't know until superpanda said it today that if you put the mouse over the bag it tells you how many points until your next promotion.)
