Is Ebay to be trusted? I mean I found a $400 product for $100?

It is the Seller that you need to be concerned about, not eBay. Some sellers sell things at very cheap/bargain prices, and they are a real deal! They buy wholesaale, or got it as a gift, or ? But it is fine.

Check out their "Seller Feedback" rating. Read some of it. If they are at 99.0% positive or above, and no recent negatives for bad merchandise, etc. you can trust them, in my 5 years of experience using them for $10-700. items. About 300 items in all I have bought on there.

Alot of good deals on there, but you just have to be careful, and check the Sellers feedback and also if it is available, get insurance.

Look at the sellers feedback rating. I also only prefer to do business with folks with stores on ebay that shows they are a little more serious. In the end though if a deal seems too good to be true it probably is as a general rule. If you do bid only pay with paypal never a check or money order or you will have no way to get the money back should the deal go sour.

No it is your choice to buy or not. Some things are sold way overpriced, but the cops can't do anything about it. But I believe they will kick the person out of Ebay (with the IP address of the computer). They would be able to go on if they got a new computer and a new id. But it's up to your risk to buy something. The PS3 is being sold on Ebay for $1000 when it's retail price is $600 but there are none in stores so that is why some things may be overpriced: Rare.
