No there isn't. That's why I don't think the whole "scandal" was a big deal. It takes a 3rd party peripheral/device to unlock it.

I was thinking of getting a tattoo (small barbed-wire heart below right shoulder), but I'm kinda scared that it might hurt a lot: What do I do?

If you are absolutely sure about getting a tattoo the pain will be secondary. It is worth it in the end. PS: Any place with a lot of bone (shoulder blade, ribs, ankle) is going to hurt a bit more than other places.
