I added fresh pineapple to my Jell-O just now. An hour later, while idly browsing the 'net, I found out the fruit prevents jelly from setting and I took the pineapples out, quick like. Will my Jell-O still set? If not, what can I do to counter the effect?
I'm not sure you can do anything now. Jello isn't that expensive. I'd just toss it and use another one. Then if you want pineaspple with it just put some over it when you eat it.

What celebrity do you want to punch/slap in the face
Because it is so recent if I could give him a good one right now it would be Spencer Pratt who was on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. There are others over the years I could have done the same thing to. But right now it is him. If those two come back that show goes off.

Even if you don't like Sarah Palin, don't you think what David Letterman said about her daughter the other night was a cheap shot with lack of integrity to get laughs?
There's a limit to joking around and he went too far. But I'm not surprised. I've always felt his humour was sarcastic, hurtful and downright mean a lot of the time. He seems to think it is funny as hell and it may be to him but not to others. Guess that is why I've never really watched his show

I want to make a lasagna from scratch. Some recipes say cook the noodles first, some dont. What should I do?
They do sell noodles that are oven ready. You can use uncooked only if there is LOTS of liquid in your casserole and I think you would need a lid. I make a spaghetti casserole with uncooked noodles but there is a lot of liquid stuff in it.

I think Kirstie Alley is funny and I've always liked Valerie Bertinelli, so I don't mind seeing their joint Weightwatchers ad over and over. Any ads you find similarly amusing that don't annoy you when you see them repeatedly?
For me all ads get annoying if you see them enough. But there are some that come along that are particularly irritating. That's when I hit the mute button or change the channel for a few seconds.

How many times has someone said this to you, "can you lend me a few bucks"?
More times than I care to count. And the answer is always the same - no. I've been stung in the past so I make it a habit not to loan money of any amount. I have one friend who is an exception because she has always paid me back from the very first time I loaned her a few bucks. And that works in reverse.

No but I knew a woman once who was that way about the East Indian culture. Drove me nuts because that's all she seemed to be able to talk about. And everything white was equated to the Indian way. I always wished she would just move there and be happy because she sure wasn't here.

No it sure isn't. You should have set down the so called rules right at the start. Tell him he has to smoke outside and sleep on a sheet to protect your couch. I look at it this way - my house - my rules. If he doesn't like it he can leave. He should just be thankful you are being so nice to him.

A very pampered house cat. What better life than having a warm place to sleep, good food and just lay around all day with no cares or responsibilities. When I see what a 'tough' life mine have sometimes I am envious. Tho to be honest I think I could get bored out of my mind doing that, but it would be fun for a while.

Back many years ago when I was 10 years old we had a cat who loved Licorice Allsorts. If she smelled them being eaten she would be right there almost doing back flips to get a bit of one. Needless to say she didn't get too much of them. I doubt they would have been good for cats.

I hate box cereal and never eat it - not as cereal anyway. However I do like Cheerios and make a snack mix out of them with spices and margarine and then slow bake them in the oven for 3/4 hour. Good to nibble on and way better than candy.

PLease find a councellor and talk to him or her. Putting your kids in the system is not a great idea altho I'm sure it seems a way out right now. I've heard of too many people who turned their kids over to the system and never got them back. I don't know exactly what you mean by 'messed up' but nothing is so bad it can't be worked out. Good luck to you -...

Fox hunting is banned in the UK so why are they letting equestrians to wear foxhunting clothes in the Olympic show jumping....would that infuriate wildlfe supporters.
They are just clothes - not furs. Besides if you wear scrubs or a lab coat that doesn't make you a doctor. So therefore you can wear any outfit that fits any job or sport. That doesn't mean you can even do it.

I detest noise with a passion. I hardly ever have the radio on or even listen to music for that matter (and I do like music) and when I do I don't have it that loud. Same for TV. But I'd much rather just listen to silence and the sounds of nature.

I never use the dishwasher or oven so I use them both to store stuff in instead, anyone else using appliances to store stuff in?
Yes. I have a large size toaster oven so I seldom use the oven on the big stove. So I keep baking pans in it and just remove them when I need to use it and then put them all back. I have very little cupboard space in my kitchen so it works out well. I don't have a dishwasher but I'd be using that for washing dishes if I had one, not for storage.

No I haven't. I always wanted to when I was younger but now I have this fear of being up really high expecially in something as little as a balloon basket. I'd be the white knuckler I'm afraid. Revenge doesn't get you anywhere except maybe make you feel good at the moment. Because then they would want to get revenge back at you and then you them, and back and forth it goes. I'll take the super powers. So before I leave this earth I can work at fixing up all the stuff that man has made a mess of. So maybe the next generation will have somewhere to spend that money.

My dog has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. To make sure she is doesn't die, I have to cook for her. Everything she gets to eat is prepared at home, and she needs to eat 3 times a day. Would you cook fresh food for your dog daily?
I haven't had to do this in my lifetime but I have done stuff for my dogs and cats that most people think I was crazy for doing. Who cares. When you love them you love them and that's all there is to it. If people don't like it that's their problem.

It usually takes me a while to name a pet. I have to watch them and get to know them but if you know of any unique or great names, please share in case one comes to fit my new puppy. Picture of him inside. Thanks so much!
Me too. Your dog is really cute. But I'd have to consider him for a bit before I would pick a name for him. Obviously I don't know him that well so I'd have to go just by looks

When making a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, would you rather get jelly in the peanut butter jar, or peanut butter in the jelly jar?
Neither one because I can't stand PB & J sandwiches. The very thought of the aste of them together makes me cringe. But I am with that with butter. I hate it when someone gets a bit of jam or PB or crumbs or anything else in it.

Who buys "Underwood Deviled Ham"? I have seen this stuff for years, just tried it and it's as salty as hell.
I do and I love the stuff. I don't find it salty at all. I'm in Canada and maybe it is a bit different here? On really fresh bread with lettuce, mayo and fresh ground pepper - yum. Did you salt it when you used it - maybe you used a bit too much.

Ladies, you are at grocery store & you know that you may not have enough money to buy items, you go to cashier, when you get there, you have to leave an item, now what if the young, tall cute guy behind you offers to pay for it for you, would you let him?
It would depend on just how badly I needed to have that item. If it was in right now, and I didn't want to make the return trip I'd let him. Besides, it's a supermarket so whatever it was I was buying isn't going to be that expensive anyway.

How about twice a year for 5 days a time. Kind of like a dog comes into heat. That would suit me just fine. Having said that I have gone thru the change so I guess it doesn't matter. It is just wonderful not having to contend with that any more.

Hello, Im eighteen and I have size 32B breast. I am self conscious about them. Do guys like small breasts? Am I too small? Does breast size really matter when choosing someone to date?
As the old joke goes anything more than a handful is waste. But seriously I hit 18 at 32A - sometimes a double A depending on the bra. I always wanted more at that age because the girls with the boyfriends all had big chests. But you know what, when you get out in the real world you'll find that guys really don't care. They will like you for you not the size of your girls.

It's a mystery to me. You could be the world's lousiest tennant and all you have to do is get your friends to write you glowing references. Right down to they were your landlord. I'm sure that's happened with some of the deadbeats that have lived where I live. So it doesn't really tell the landlord anything.

Years ago as kids we would buy the chocolate coated ice cream bars on a stick. Then we'd bite off some of the chocolate and use potato chips to scrape up the ice cream. Is deep-frying still unhealthy even if you use "healthy" oil such as olive or cocnut?
Olive oil is not a good deep fry oil. It burns at too low a temperature. They say peanut is best. Probably none of it is healthy. But hey, if you only have it now and again I don't think it will kill you. But I would eat french fries every day if I could.

Answer to:
I made homemade scones today..they were as flat as pancakes, but tasted ok - why cant i seem to bake anything (even out of a packet) without it being a disaster?
One possibility is that your baking powder is too old. Test it by putting a spoonful in a small glass or bowl and running a bit of the hottest tap water you have into it. It should fizz up like alka seltzer. The only time mine have ever failed was because of old baking powder and I have made them for years.

You can peel them and boil them like regular potatoes. I prefer baking them and just putting butter and sale and pepper on them like you would a regular baked potato. They are soooo good. I just made them last week.

The kind that comes out of my tap. We have good water where I live. By the way when it comes to bottled water most of it is just super filtered stuff that comes out of a tap anyway. What does Evian spell
backwards. That's what people are that spend the big bucks on the stuff in the stores.

My brother sprayed Ground Clear in the flower bed about 1 month ago. My understanding is that it will kill everything for up to one year. So...my question is....if I plant flowers there now will they grow.
Some of those things just kill off the plants that are there and they lose their toxicity when they are on the ground. Does it sterilize the earth, too? Because if so then the answer is nothing will grow there. You would have to dig out the contaminated soil and replace it first.

I am 2 and a half months pregnant and no longer want to be in a relationship with my boyfriend of 7 mos. ,he is aggressive when he's drunk and I am falling out of love with him. He wants the baby but i dont want him anywhere around. What to do?
Any guy that is aggressive with you, especially when you are pregnant doesn't deserve to have you. Pack up and leave and go somewhere safe. If you aren't thinking of yourself think of the life you are bringing into the world. Chances are the aggression won't stop and probably will only get worse. He could still be in the baby's life, just not under the same roof.

I had a male cat that suffered from FUS (I think it was called Feline urinary syndrome.) My vet suggested tomato juice. It is supposed to stop their urine from crystalizing. Males that are neutered are prone to it. If she doesn't have an infection to begin with I wouldn't do anything. I have had many many cats in my lifetime (males) and this is the only one it happened to. He...

Nope. I used to think that when Dr. Phil first appeared on the horizon. Then I came to realize if you really thought about what he said it usually makes infinite sense. Still on Hans Christian Andersen, I believe Danny Kaye sang a song entitled 'The Ugly Duckling' to a little lad with a bald head. Would I be right? I reckon it was a musical version of HCA's fairy tale of the same name.
He did sing Ugly Duckling but I don't remember if the boy had a bald head. One of my favorite movies by the way. I don't think it was based on the fairy tale tho. I thought it was about Hans Christian Anderson himself. Although I could be wrong on that. Why don't you google it and see what comes up.

Honey, you do what's right for you and you'll be okay. As for the social issues and being boring that will be the other person's problem, not yours. I think as you get older this would become less of an issue with people then when you aree young and all your friends are trying to talk you into it.

I don't mean to come off as being sarcastic but how do you know it is 100. Surely you don't count them. It is normal to lose hair. It sure would. People these days are too lazy. Sometimes you just have to make time to do these things. The only time I think they might be useful is on a vacation. Frankly I think they look ridiculous. I never liked them even when I was a little kid and saw other mothers using them. I'm not sure they would be as popular. Not when they have people like David A and last time Sanjaya that the little girls go ga-ga over and vote umpteen times for just on account of they're cute. The little girls aren't that interested in good sitcoms and drama as they are in cute boys. They just need to be able to stop people voting more than two or three times.

Do you regularly hold doors open for people, let others get ahead of you in traffic and try to generally give others a break?
Yes I do and if they don't say thank you, in a quite loud voice I say you're welcome. I say you're welcome if they DO say thank you too. I always say thank you if someone hold the door for me. I am big on manners.

Answer to:
Who will be the 2008 American Idol, David Cook or David Archuleta?
Don't run out and spend it yet. I think it will be David C in the end. David A has some maturing and growing up to do before he could handle the celebrity of it all. He can't even carry on a conversation with someone. But having said that the kid can sing that's for sure. Just give him a few more years. We'll hear about him again.
Answer to:
What would you do on Deal or No Deal if the two remaining briefcases contained $200,000 and 50 cents?
I'd go for it. After all when I arrived I would have had nothing. So if I leave the same way I am still in the same place. I might be momentarily ticked off but I'd get over it.

Answer to:
Raise your hand if you think David Archuleta is a sexy beast!!!!
You are joking, aren't you. Sexy beast are two words that definitely don't apply to him. He's still a young kid. You have to be mature to be a sexy beast and mature he isn't.

HOW CAN I ASK A QUESTION AND GET THE ANSER ON LIVE TV AMERICAN IDOL?
For one thing depending on where you live the show won't be live. It'll be live on tape because of the different time zones. And I doubt they would read text messsages or Emails on the show anyway.
Answer to:
Do you think David Archuletta is really that good?
He sings really well but a lot of his stuff sounds the same. But he lacks the stage presence and his immaturity really shows when he is not actually singing.

How much of your grocery budget goes towards fresh items? Not only fruit and veggies, but fresh bread from a bakery, fresh meat from a butcher shop, fresh milk/eggs/butter/cheese from a local farmer... all of these count.
Probably 70 to 80 percent. I like to cook and it is so much cheaper to make your own stuff. So I prefer to buy fresh ingredients and make things myself.

What are the chances of my wife cracking open 7 eggs and 4 of them having a double yolk? Do you think it is just a statistical anomaly, or for some reason the farm the eggs came from produces a lot of double yolks? Do you think they're safe to eat?
They are perfectly fine to eat. If I'm not mistaken hens when they first start laying often have double yolks. Just more egg to enjoy in my opinion. I am a big egg lover.

What is the best combined moisturiser and fake tan?
I just bought Nivea Summer Touch and I love it. It is a body moisturizer with a self tanner. It is very gradual but after two applications I have color on my legs. No streaking, not orangey, and best of all no awful smell. One more application and I will have pretty acceptable tan. I would recomment it.

In Calgary AL, insurance companies are no loner covering for pitbulls, dobermans, shepherds, and rotweilers, becayse they are powerful "dangerous breeds" and are most likely to attack. They also want to apply this to other provinces, do you agree?
No, I don't. Any dog can be nasty right down to the littlest breeds. I have had friends with dobermans and I have had a shepherd and they were all lovely dogs and in no way could they be classified as dangerous. They might be larger breeds but they can be very nice animals in the right hands.

Does it make you giggle if your next door neighbour sneezes so loud you can hear them?
I was walking past somewhere the other day when someone sneezed inside. I was waiting for the windows to blow out it was so loud. I just chuckled because I'm sure the person has no clue what they sound like. I'm sure they'd tone it down if they did. I'm surprised someone who is near and dear to them hasn't said something or maybe they did and it fell on deaf ears....

In my opinion, two of the worst characteristics one can have are arrogance and stupidity...arrogance because one always thinks he knows what's best and stupidity because he rarely does. What two characteristics, existing in one person, drive you bonkers?
I agree with you for sure. Stupidity I can take if a person just isn't very smart but teamed with arrogance it makes me sick. Selfishness is another big one in my book, too.

It sure was. The very early shows were way better. Same for MAD TV. The new format they have now just isn't as good. I watched on old one on the comedy network this week and it was way more entertaining.

I care. It is a good question. I haven't seen the show - it hasn't aired on the west coast yet. However, I saw the promos for it. Do you think that Simon was hard on Jason Castro last night, or did Jason deserve it? Which song from Jason did you like better? Who do you think will be eliminated tonight?
Neither song was great but that was the way he planned it. He wanted off the show apparently and tonight he got his wish. I knew something was up when the judges were criticizing his performance and he seemed to be so amused by their comments. No one who really wanted to win would have found this so funny if they had really been trying their best. I'm glad he's gone.

It's not really a toy. But it would be a medium sized ceramic duck pulling a cart. It was an Easter gift from my late Dad when I was about 7 years old. You don't say how old you guys all are. I am assuming not very if this kind of childish behaviors is going on. You are obviously more mature than they are and this sort of thing will only get more and more annoying as time goes on. I'd dump him and find someone else who acts more grown up.

Not at all. It's your life and if you are not ready to settle down and have kids then you shouldn't be pressured into doing it. Thirty is young for heaven's sake. Go out and enjoy yourself. I do but I don't eat that much of it. I have to be in the mood to have it on toast. And I prefer freezer jam to the cooked kind. It tastes just like squished up berries spread on your toast. It never occurs to me to use it as ice cream topping. But then again I don't eat a lot of that either.
Answer to:
Where can I find the best fish and chips in the world? (Be as specific as possible)
I was a place called Winner where I live. Unfortunately it closed down a number of months ago. As good as it was, I don't think it was in the greatest of locations and didn't get the business it could have. Never had them so good in my life and probably never will and this is a senior citizen talking. So I've had lots of fish and chips in my life to compare them to.
Answer to:
Do you like fish and chips?
Yummy yum yum. Boy do I ever. We have a new place where I live and they are supposed to be really good but I've yet to try them. We had a great place but it closed down unfortunately.

Last night, I cooked quail eggs for the first time at home. What is the most unusual food item you have attempted to cook on your own?
I haven't really cooked anything that I would consider unusual. But I am someone who likes so much that there isn't much that would be unusual for me. I would stay away from really odd stuff anyway. I haven't had quail eggs though. Do they taste the same as chicken eggs. I've seen them being cooked on Iron Chef.

Love Hell's Kitchen and can't wait for the next installment. I sure hope there is one. I also love Kitchen Nightmares. I get such a kick out of Ramsey. Some of these people are so stupid they need someone talking to them like that for a wake up call. Particularly Kitchen Nightmares.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and why?
For me it would be some kind of big cat. I love cats obviously. I don't know what I would name it. I usually have a pet for a bit before I name it. I like to see if there is a name that suits their personality first.

I read about a woman who was living in her bathroom for two years, on the toilet. Her skin grew around the toilet bowl. How is this all even remotely possible? I cannot fathom this.
Till I started reading the answers here I thought someone must have been pulling your leg. But I guess not. That is horrible. The anxiety business seems nuts tho. Not to say she isn't but did the husband have her locked in there. She has more problems than simple anciety if she stayed in there like that on her own. The stupid husband should be charged with something for this.

Me. I also go to another one and believe it or not I can't recall the name right now cuz I go there so seldom. Ever since they 'redid' AB and haven't liked it as much. I have never gotten used to the new format. At the moment for the things I like to look at like entertainment (TV) and cooking and recipes I find Yahoo is much better. Sorry ABers. How do I get over a messy breakup? At school, he sent one of his friends to tell me that he was dumping me for someone else. Unfortunetly, he sits in almost all of my classes, so I have to live with a constant reminder of my depression. Help?
This guy sounds like a real winner anyway. Anyone who would send his friend to do his dirty work is majorly immature. Don't you think you deserve someone who would treat you better even if they are breaking up with you. Of course you do, but you but you are hurting and that is part of relationships ending. Honestly it won't last forever. And when you look at him think about the...

Who well do you feel the participants did today, with The Beatles song book, on American Idol?
I didn't like the show that much. The Beatle music has become classic and I just feel it should be sung the way it was written. I know they tell them to put their own spin on it but sometimes you simply ruin perfection. Like the girl who turned whatever that song was (I can't remember) into a hoedown number. That was awful.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to see this. The only difference there is Danny could sing better. But his stage presence did him in I think. I just make a pretty basic meat loaf and turn it Mexican. To about a pound of meat I add about 1/2 cup of salsa and some taco seasoning and a little extra cumin. I make my own seasoning but you can use old el paso or whatever. The salsa seems to keep it very moist.

Well, for starters I believe she was gone as of last week. But they aren't looking for impersonators on that show. Not to say that isn't talent. Actually I think there is a show for that is there not. I can't recall what the name of it is. She had lots of talent imitating others but as herself wasn't good at all and that is what it is all about.

Whats your opinion on back from the dead stories on soap operas? On AMC a charecter that died on camera in '88 and visited down many times as a ghost since has been resurrected from the dead and I feel its lame and stupid writing. What do u all think?
Jesse has just come back as a character recently. He had to go into hiding because he and his family was in danger. We are just starting to find out why. But I agree. There has been far too much of this. And if they don't bring the character back, it is the same actor but they are playing the evil or long lost twin or something. It depends on how fast you are going to use it. I am by myself and I once bought a big jar of it cuz it was cheap and I had hardly used any of it and it went rancid. So now I keep it in the fridge and just fill up a small jar for daily use and keep thaton the shelf. The last big jar I'll bet I had in the fridge for a few years and it never went off.

Why do onions and garlic seep into your skin when other foods do not? I can sometimes smell it on me for a day or so after I've cooked and washed thoroughly.
Try rinsing your hands in cold water to get some of it off. Then wash with soap in warm water. Rinsing first in cold water rinses it off and keeps the pores closed. Also hold some stainless steel while you wash them, that helps too.

Breakfast might be a morning meal but what about the person who works odd hours and gets up at 2 p.m. and wants to start his day with breakfast and not dive into a Big Mac right after getting up. But I can see why they don't do it for all the above reasons. But there are plenty of small coffee shop places who serve breakfast all day and of course the pancake places.

If it was just a harmless hug why do you feel the need to tell him. More to the point why would you want a boyfriend that would react this way to you giving
someone a friendly hug. Sounds like he is a bit insecure to me. You would do well to find yourself a boyfriend that is a little more mature.

I had a female, too, that I wanted to breed to a male I had at the time. She had other ideas - namely a male cat outside that she had her eye on. I had always thought when they were in heat they would take any male that was interested in them but...

I make the soup really thick to begin with by adding only a little bit of the milk or sometimes none at all, so when it is refridgerated it is virtually solid. Then when I reheat it I can control the amount of milk I put in so you can make it as thick or thin as you want. I love thick cream soups. I like to joke you can walk across my soups and not fall in. But that's how I like them.

If A Man Sleeps With A Woman That Is Not His Wife But His Wife Is Cheating Too and Never Wants To Sleep With Him, Is That Wrong?
Sounds to me like this is two people who should just call their relationahip a day and move on with their lives. Neither one of them are behaving like adults in a marriage. I know two people in this situation as we speak and for the life of me I don't know why they are even together at this point. They are wasting their lives. Time gets even more preciouse as you get older - why waste it.

Don't care really. It's going to happen, there isn't much we can do about it anyway so how we feel isn't going to change anything.

Is anyone surprised that the critics are calling for the cancellation of the show Cavemen?
Oh, I do hope so. Before I watched the first one I knew this would be one of the lamest shows ever and I wasn't disappointed. And the commercials are just as bad. No wonder cavemen aren't around any more. They'd drive everyone mad.
Answer to:
Is there a TV show you like to watch that is outside the norm for you, and you are not even sure why? I watch drama usually but for some reason I really like 'Chuck'.
I'm not big into most of the drama shows but one I have just gotten addicted to this season is Rescue Me with Dennis Leary. If you've never watched it give it a try.

Lime jello. But the flavors aren't the same as they were years ago. I just love jello and could eat it every day. Some of the store brands or generic brands have a better taste than Jello brand I think.

Answer to:
Why is it that when an egg has been cooked and left in its shell for a period of time before peeling, the area around the yolk goes black?
I was always led to believe that it is from boiling the egg. If you start out with cold water, bring it to the boil, turn it off and leave the egg in 1/2 an hour it won't have the grayish color. I tried it a few times and it did work, but you have to turn the heat off as soon as the water boils.

Is Jay Leno gay? His jokes always include a penis!
He's been married to the same woman for years so I don't see how he could be gay. What's that got to do with penis jokes anyway. Have told a few myself over the years and I'm definitely not gay.
Answer to:
If you were married, would you want to live alone but have your spouse live in a house right next to yours?
At the age I am at right now for me that is the only way at this point. I have lived by myself for a long time now and while it would be nice to have a relationship I don't want them living with me. I need my space and when I get tired of them, or they get tired of me we can both go to our respective homes. I don't feel the need to live with someone.

How do I cut the ingredients down from a full size cake or pie recipe to make a small version that is maybe 2 to 3 servings only; and how do I adjust the baking temp. and time for the smaller size?
I do that all the time so long as the recipe will cut in half evenly. I use a small corning ware casserole as my baking tin. It does shorten the cooking time. The first time I did it I just kept checking to see if it was done and noted it on the recipe and what I used to bake it in. It works out great for someone on their own. Cuz if I made a normal cake I'd be sick and tired of it...

Who's your favorite character on the britcom show "Are You Being Served?"
Mrs. Sugden and her 'pussy'. The double entendres are hilarious. Makes me laugh every time. Actually I am going home to watch an episode when I am done here. We just had one where she called her neighbor and asked him to look thru the leter slot and if he could see her pussy to drop a few sardines in. Love that humor in the UK sitcoms.

This week the cast/crew of a popular "Home Makeover Show" were in town. Not fun. The crew demanded "donations" and volunteers had to sign contracts. Deadlines were missed but the cast was out bar hopping. Has anyone had similar experiences?
They do a lot of filming in a small town near Vancouver where I live. The film company and crews have always been very respectful. Sounds like it was a bad experience for you. Mine have always been good. I've even been paid for the inconvenience of having them on my street. Last summer they filmed across the street from me and used my place as well and paid me $200 for a few hours...

Have you ever had or made potatoe soup? If so what do u use in it? i use bacon and potatoes, milk water and thickening.....salt n pepa! its soo yummy
Do you puree yours ur have it chunky? I usually hold back on the liquid when I cook the vegs, and then when I puree I add the milk to get the thickness I want. I also use some of the cooking liquid for the puree part too, but not too much. Celery salt give it a nice flavor too. I hold back on the regular salt for the cooking and add the celery salt when I puree or it can get too salty.

It certainly seems to doesn't it. I think it's just because it is nice to sit down to eat something that you had nothing to do with preparing. Someone else did it and cleaned up after. All you had to do was sit and eat. Going out for dinner to a restaurant does the same thing to me.

I've seen only a few of them. Chuck is supposed to be good but I haven't watched it yet. That show Cavemen has to be the lamest excuse for a show I've ever seen. I know what you mean. It is on every station for hour upon hour upon hour on end. It wouldn't be so bad if it were something new but it is the same old stuff on top of it all. I've heard there were different types of ginger ale, something to do with sweetness, what are they?
I remember my grandmother always having this ginger ale that was very very dry and fizzy. And when you drank it the popping bubbles sort of went up your nose. One of my favorite childhood memories. Unfortunately it isn't made any more.

Does anyone else, apart from me, dislike sauces like tomato ketchup, brown sauce, mustard, BBQ sauce, salad cream, mayo etc, or I am just odd?
I do like them but frankly very seldom use them. I like the simple flavor of what I am eating to come thru. So I don't like drowning my food in sauce. Gravy maybe but no sauce. The other thing is I don't want the things on my plate to mix together so I'd have to use one of those divided plates. Too much bother.

Today I saw a giant clear trashbag filled with donuts and bagels from the day before being rolled into the backroom of the supermarket. Are these going to be donated to the hungry or will they be put in the dumpster? I never worked in a supermarket.
A supermarket employee told me once that they couldn't sell it when it was out of date in case it made someone sick. Then proceded to tell me they give it to a food bank. Guess they don't care if the needy got sick.

After the way she's been acting everwhere lately it would be suicide for the show to have her on there. Surely Bob Barker can see that, then again maybe not. The Rosie she used to be before all this View stuff would be okay. I liked her on her own show.

If I find a human hair or even a bit of an egg shell or something like that in my food it immediately sets off a gag reflex for me. But funnily enough if I find a hair from one of my cats in it it doesn't bother me at all. Silly I know.

Yeah And they all have jobs that they never seem to go to. Not to mention that they can just run off to attend to some "crisis" whenever one comes up and socialize with their friends on the job as well. I'd love to have a job like that and get paid for it. Somehow I think in real life you would get fired pretty quick.

American Idol: A friendly and fair competition, or more than meets the eye?
I think the kids are doing the best they are able to do. It's the voters who are not listening to the singers that are messing it up. Sanjaya should have been the first one out the door and he's still there. The whole thing has become more of a popularity contest than anything.

Why does my dog eat sticks when taken out for a walk. She is 3 years old, fed twice a day, given the odd treat & taken for 2 good walks. We have never had this problem till now & know it is dangerous to let her continue doing this. Why is she doing it...
I don't know why she does this. But we trained our dog to 'drop it' right from the start. So if she got hold of anything that could be harmful she would put it down on command. Start out using toys and get her to drop those and to on from there.
