Not right now. I'm sort of lying dormant, as I only have 40 days of school left until my high school graduation and it's hard to get excited about anything. Machiavelli said...'friendships yield nothing...' Do you agree?
Kind of. Friends sort of act as cushions for when we need comfort, or punching bags when we're angry, and things like that. You don't really need those things, and sometimes you can make a friend into a crutch.
On the other hand, having friendships and being popular or well-known can get you a lot of things in life. Money, other valuable materials and special privileges, etc. so...

I might affect it a little, but I think the media impacts people more. Seeing all the real life violence is more desensitizing than animated violence. And also, when people who are already troubled see things like that, it probably puts ideas in their heads. The more school shootings there are on the news, the more it happens. And always in the same way.

She wrote We the Living, Anthem, Atlas Shrugged, and the Fountainhead.
Those novels center around her philosophy, Objectivism. I've read all her books, and they were really fascinating. I seriously loved them, but I don't agree with her on a lot of things.

I'm not in a relationship at all right now, but I have a couple of friends that are in that kind of relationship. It's truly remarkable, really. They are patient, loving, and kind to each other all the time. When they disagree about something, they talk about it reasonably until it's worked out. They tease each other like they're angry, but they've never actually been...

Why do most people in America wear clothing with certain logos or insignias
I dislike wearing logos on my clothes, but it's getting to be impossible at some stores. A lot of the stores that have clothes that fit me the best have the brand name on every article. I try to go for the ones that are least apparent. If it just boldly says the name of the store or another brand name, I just won't buy it. I think it makes people look silly.

4.0. It doesn't matter what kind of A it is. An A is worth 4 points, a B is worth 3, a C is 2, a D is 1. Then you average them together.
4+4+4 = 12
12/3 = 4.0

It sounds kind of conceited to say this, but that happens to me all the time. It's just because I tend to say little catchphrases over and over again, and then people pick them up. It also happens with nicknames I give people; others start using them after a while.

What is the point of music conductors? Don't the musicians have sheet music that they can play to?
They keep the time, or tempo, of the piece. Some music has a tendency to speed up or slow down as you go along, so the different members get separated.
If you and I count to four silently, we will almost always finish at different times.
And also, the conductor adds visual representation of the music for the audience. Sometimes it's almost like interpretive dance, even.

Why do people read less now then they did 15-20 years ago?
Society has worked hard to make it unnecessary to read. Newspapers have bigger pictures and the bare minimum of words, and even textbooks look like that now. And there are more electronic distractions. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that schools are not doing a great job anymore of encouraging kids to read and enjoy it.

Do you think marriages should be renewed every few years. For example every 4 years both parties have the option to not renew their license, which would end the marriage in a cleaner way than a divorce.
No. Marriage is supposed to be for life, and divorce should be the very last resort.
Doing something like that would undermine the institution of marriage even more than today's society already has. It's supposed to be a beautiful, lifelong commitment.

Answer to:
Somehow I feel older. I went to two doctors today and they both gave me answers like 'well, we can give you 20 more years of life by doing this'. All of a sudden my life has an endpoint medically. Anybody else know what I mean by this?
Yeah, when I was 12 they gave me "a good five, maybe 10 more years" but I'm doing way better than they thought at this point so I don't even think about when my life is going to end.
As much as I can, I just go on like no one ever said anything about when I'm going to die and live exactly how I would have without my heart condition.

Answer to:
When you're depressed, do you listen to upbeat songs that will improve your mood or sad songs that will allow you to wallow in your misery?
Happy songs, but not terribly energetic or peppy. I used to go for the sad songs, but then I never got out of the depression.
If the beat is too fast or whatever, it sometimes just makes me really tired which adds to the depression.
There are some songs that will always improve my mood though.

I hear the singer's voice if it's just in my head. If I'm singing it because it's stuck in my head, I sort of hear both.

Why does a pastor who claims is a servant of God and follows Jesus, is welcoming to you and once you tell him that your moving in with your bf, he says that youre going to hell and is a sinner and completely turns on you! Is that what christianity is? BS!
It's the Christian belief that you should be married instead of just living with your significant other, so it would make sense for a pastor to express concern over such a decision in a loving way.
That doesn't mean that this pastor should be so harsh or "turn on you" as you said. That's not right at all. And I agree that only God can judge you.

Make a list of what you need to accomplish, and set deadlines if you need to. Also, ask someone to help keep you accountable for what you're supposed to be doing. Pressure from a friend can be good motivation to get things done.
It all comes down to willpower, but those things can help.

If it's a really serious or awful thing, though, I may talk to them about it. But I would never demand someone's apology.

True of False: Acceptance of authority is part of becoming a mature adult.
To an extent, I suppose that's a sign of maturing.
Blind or unquestioning acquiescence to authority is never a good thing, though. Maybe the ability to discern when to respect authority and when to stand up for yourself is closer to what a mature adult should do.

It doesn't mean he's incapable of being in the presence of sin. It means he hates it. I can't stand to be around my boss, but I do it anyway. I just put her as far away from myself as possible.
