The kids made fried dough in my $100. stainless steel frying pan. They were not careful and I now have baked on oil all over the bottom and outside of my pan. How do I get it off?Anything I try does not seem to work. Get some straight Ammonia from the cleaning chemicals at the store. Pour some in a bucket/pan large enough to set your frying pan in. I'm lying in bed trying to sleep, and all I can feel is my heart pumping. I measured the rate at which it is going and got 90bpm. Is this abnormal? It varies, but as a resting rate that's a bit fast. Of course the more you think about that, the faster it will go due to the anxiety. It may be best to get up and do something that will take your mind off your heart. Patience for the wrong reasons (ie: reluctance to make a decision or to speak up for yourself) is as bad as or worse than raging impatience. Patience isn't always ultimately the right choice but it is a good place to start. You can always go raging into impatience later if need be.

Who wouldn't want that? People avoid discomfort/sadness because they think it will keep happiness from them. Sometimes though, pain/sadness are the hurdle you have to jump to reach real happiness. The happiness that comes from facing both discomfort and sadness and accepting them as being just as natural as happiness and all part of the same pie.

Several months ago, a Muslim husband in upper NY state BEHEADED his wife at the TV station they owned. It was reported ONCE in the media and there has never been another mention of it. I saw the report. Have you seen any coverage of it at all? I saw some coverage of it via Yahoo mail/news. When is it a shame to see that a question got nuked for being a duplicate? When the "merging" of the duplicate makes the comment threads a confusing mess of "why is a person other than the person who asked the question commenting to all the answers here?" It took me awhile to figure out that it wasn't a 'jacking of comment priviledges by some totally unrelated person :)

You could take the cardboard insert from a roll of paper towels, collaspe the one end as far as you need to to get it slightly into the cast. Then butt the blowdryer up to the other end of the cardboard tube. ONLY on the cool/air setting so you don't have burns on top of breaks.

My birthday has been September 11th for the last 30-some years. Ever since 9/11 every time people learn my birthday, they say something stupid, like "oh I'm sorry" or "that must suck". How can I respond with out being an ass? They say "that must suck" and you say: "Not at all! The events of that 9-11 remind me to be grateful to be celebrating another birthday".
