When driving, do you listen to CD's,tapes, the radio or nothing?
Tapes, MP3-CD's, Ipod... anything but radio.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the Netherlands DJ's like to talk and play silly games on the phone (during the brief moments there aren't news reports or commercials...)
At the office that's a pleasant distraction, but I prefer to enjoy my short daily commute listening to songs I like myself :-).

Pulled over several times, but never got a ticket.
(Although in most cases I violated the law)
I'm OK, and often cops are good judges in character. Tickets aren't always neccesary to get the message across.
(PS, I'm not a set of blonde boobs)

It's an older question, but for all it's worth;
What can possibly be wrong about your natural color? 999 out of a 1000, your natural color suits you best.

The big debate here at the moment is the "hijab"(headscarf) some schools are not allowing Muslim girls to wear them....I find this insulting and outragious, what is your view?
Rules should be equal, regardless of religion.
Since we communicate a lot with our faces; hats, headscarfs and sunglasses should always be forbidden IN CASE they cover our faces.
Regardless, we should either agree everyone (man or woman) can wear a headscarf, or no one at all.
We cannot make exceptions for religions.
It would priviledge Muslims to wear scarfs because of their religion,...

Do you reuse your shower towl, your clean after a shower, so why not?
When showering, I do not use a brush to remove the old skin flakes. I only wash my hair and body using some shampoo or soap.

In general straight men fall for longish.
It's basic sociobiology; similar to men loving boobs on a woman.

In time you'll find a girl worthy of you.

Answer to:
Is depression an adaptation?
In a way, yes.
When depressed for very long from the outside, or from the inside by yourself (civilization; postponing/depressing basic instinctive needs), our mechanism of enjoying things shuts off.
This can become a way of life. Denying yourself needs in order to adapt to your (social) environment.

A resonance in the frontal cortex, perhaps even devine. I'm convinced it exists, and it would be short of a miracle if it ever happened to me.
Therefore, without putting her on a pedestal, I expect to fight, kill & die for her without any hesitation.
I am also convinced some relationships lack this component, and are based on other things. Which is cool though.

I never needed confimation; I was send to a psychiatrist since I was different. A freak or nerd if you will. So I ran a few tests, but didn't care....

When you tell her, she might be devastated and part with you on the spot, right?
For her sake it's better if one of her kin is present or near, when you brake the news.

Why do so many marriages end in in divorce so soon these days? Some barely last a year or two? What's wrong? Your theory?
People do not depend financially on each other anymore.
Their faith in church deminishes, so they start looking for answers themselves. Making them insecure while reinventing our social stucture. And making it to easy to give up, since divorce is more socially accepted (not per se a bad thing).

Since everything that will happen in the future is a mathematical equasion of the present, in theory we can.
Seeing in the past proves to be more difficult.
Picture a parabolic function: Y=X times X.
If X = 2 then Y=4. future predicted.

Being in love as a teenager is often very intense, but it does not mean you're making the right choice. I wouldn't recommend marriage so young period, no matter what age your partner is.

My big screen tv won't turn on? I have a philips and everytime the power geos out the tv won't turn back on.
For a Philips it's normal.
I've had 2 of them; one broke down right after the 12 month warranty (power supply, fixed for free), and the second one went bust after 3 years (beyond repair).
I've had similar experiences with other makes too, so I'm getting scared of wasting any more money on "high tech garbage".
Next TV I buy, is the cheapest I can find.

The most powerful emotion (Energy-Motion).
It's clutters the mind, but makes everything crystal clear at the same time.
It's an almost unlimited source of energy.
When "being in love" changes into love, we might take it for granted and even get used to it. But we feel totaly gutted, if he/she leaves...
In a loving relationship, you are part of one another.

People who like to bash or insult don't stick around.
They don't feel comfy, or get bored. Or maybe they need some time to adapt.

There are a few exceptions:
"Gone in 60 seconds" is one of them; the original has a sudden and open ending.
Titanic has been remade numerous times, but modern techniques and high budget makes James Cameron's version the easiest on the eye.
"Batman begins" was better than the others, but tmho the storyline deviates to much to call it a remake.

In a country without any, and harsh conditions, there's no way you can decimate crime.
However, if you can provide the needed with (very) basic life-support, there's no reason for them to commit crimes. Especcialy then, severe punishments are justified, but never with permanent injuries. Working on the chaingang to pay it all back seems the best...

Should drugs (mainly marijuana) be legalized in the US? why or why not?
Yes.
Every drug. Only some are more dangerous than others, so they should only be sold in seperate +18 shops; registering what you bought, to prevent abuse and selling it on to youngsters.
Also sell cigarettes, alkohol, guns and porn there. Include healthcare in the price (excessive alkohol affects the liver, XTC your teeth..)
By growing drugs in your own country, drug related crime...

Answer to:
Is it easier for you to understand time using a digital clock, or an analog clock?
I like to compare it with speedometers.
A small glance at a analog one, visualises immediatly how fast you are going. We get used to the angle of the pointer, not the digit it is pointing at. Whereas a digital one needs some more translation. For instance, 67M/H looks totaly different from 70M/H (8 LED-segments change colour), whilst in analog the angle only changes a few degrees.

DEATH PENALTY- Most states say that executions are too expensive and that is why the criminals stay on death row so long. Do you think that we should make executions "PAY PER VIEW" to cover the cost and give the left over money to the families?
Instead of taking their lives, I prefer them working their asses off in a chain gang for the rest of their lives (to pay for their deeds, the prison itself, and live long enough to have an appeal...).
But if they choose VOLUNTAIRY to fight other contenders to death, like gladiators in a arena, why not exploit it to pay the families of their victims.

A strong and visible personality.
Serious, if a girl isn't the "stereotype" beauty, but she looks and acts self-assured, she has my attention. It's about being aware of, and acting to ones feelings (in a fashional manner). This means everyone not afraid to show themselves, including girls who are shy or vulnerable.

During puberty, I had warts on my hands on regulary basis. Somrtimes 5, sometimes 10. They always came back after burning (self, solder-iron), cutting (self, squeezers) or freezing (doktor, liquid nitrogen).

Outside of being in love - what are some reasons (good and bad) to get married. I have been asked - but I want to make sure I do the right thing!!
I don't wanna spoil the party, but I think marriage is overrated. Half of them end in divorces, and it’s a bit weird to write down your vows in a contract. To me it is obvious one takes care of the other, and doesn't cheat when involved in a relationship.
I can only think of 3 reasons to marry.
1.The romantic scene.
2.If you're planning to have kids, it feels like...

Do you believe in evolution?
The Question changed;
It used to be: Do you think we derive from monkeys?
No.
The difference in DNA is only 2%, yet there are no sucsesful lifeforms inbetween monkeys and people. If we evolved FROM them, there would be.
When following our genes back beyond the stoneage, I'm sure there's a point where primates BRANCHED OUT into different species, including us.

How can I get rid of a hangover?
Alcohol dehydrates the brain, thus causing a headache. (Your body dislikes large amounts of alcohol, and filters it out of your blood using your kidneys; it makes you overly urinate, losing moist.)
WATER is the answer; the closer you drink it to the time you had alcohol, the less your brain will dehydrate.

Answer to:
What do you think about a law making spanking a child illegal?
Spanking (if needed!) isn't abuse.
A LAW AGAINST SPANKING IS CHILDABUSE. A child unfamiliar with punishment, growing up without any respect or restraint, can turn out to be a pain in the royal for others, and becomes isolated or ends up in jail.
There are alternatives to spanking, like locking up, or taking their allowance, but aren't those alternatives just as "bad" as...

It's from an ancient counting system. Just like binary uses 2, and hexdecimal uses 16 digits.

A gross(144) is comparable to a hundred decimal(100). (12x12, like 10x10).

Answer to:
Is masturbating to a person's picture offensive to the person?
To maximize the spread of their genes men are easily exited; they can start new life every hour, so they don't need to be selective. Women are less easy exited, cause by nature they search for the right genes (they can only give birth once every year tops....).
If a man masturbates to a picture, it is hardy personal; no need to feel flattered or insulted.

A woman participating in a contest drinks so much water that she ends up dying. Do you think the radio station that organized this event bears responsibility in her death?
Everyone is responsible for their own actions, but when there is a contest, people tend to believe it is "safe".

Slow down on alcohol and patato's/bread too. Focus on vegetables (pref. spinage) and fruit. Have an egg or trout/salmon instead of meat. Drink diet-coke.

How do you get a girl to like you in middle school?
First of all: Try being yourself. Don't put on a facade, because you can't know what she really likes in a guy. Also, I asume you want her to like you for who you are.
Be visible; she can only notice you if she's able to see who you really are and what interests you. Maybe join clubs and organisations at school.

Is it better to burn out or to fade away?
In our younger years, a lot of us fantasize about burning out when our number is up.
But in the end, when old and illstricken, most are only able to fade away.

Why did she move out? Was it her descision?
It's a bit odd when she REALLY loves you, and yet leaves you (for someone else). Even as a last fling.
It doesn't harm to work it out, but what if she meets another guy again? Can you trust her not to walk away?
When I truely love another, I cannot imagine breaking up...so does she truely love you?

Cable TV is one of the biggest rip-offs! We pay to have TV shows, yet most channels play infomercials overnight. Any comments?
True, we pay twice.
Look for a "free to air" satelite disc. You'll only pay for the equipment (which is only fair). The commercials pay the shows.
If you want quality TV, only pay for commercialfree stations, using a smartcard.
If you have an extensive DVD-collection, you don't even need cable or a satelite-disc, for you can watch the daily news free over the internet.

How did radar technology give the Allied forces an advantage in planning battles?
Back then, radar was more about defence then attacking. The radars on the British shore warned for enemy planes. Therefore they didn't need lots of planes to patrol the coastline, only a quick taskforce standing by. This saved fuel, and less planes were needed. Those planes could now be used for attacking targets on the other side of the channel and escorting bombers.

I've been dating a guy for two months and a month ago, we decided to be exclusive. Yet his Myspace profile still says "single." Should I confront him about it?
Try to contact him over the internet, based on myspace, using a fake name. Try to seduce him online. If he declines and changes his profile, there's no faul.

Answer to:
Why can't we tickle ourselves?
We anticipate on every move we make, so they don't come as a surprise. However, we can't anticipate on every tiny move a stranger makes.
Answer to:
Why do we yawn when we are tired?
When we are tired, our breathing becomes more shallow. This causes a lack of oxygen, and a build up of carbon-dioxide in our lungs. These levels trigger us to yawn. When doing so, we refresh our lungs and take in an extra amount of oxygen. When asleep we don't need much oxygen to function, so we only yawn when getting tired or waking up.

Are there any additives that are made from pork/the pig?
Sure, pigs eggwhite is used in flavor additives. Or injected into chicken. Not very kosher, if you have religious issues about pork.
There is a list of "unclean" products at www.theisraelofgodrc.com/CUPL

I have very low self esteem. Most people tell me I'm beautiful, but I don't believe it, I hate the way I look. Why can't I be happy the way I am?
So you think those people lie to you? Of course not! If not used to recieving them, it's hard to take a compliment. Don't be afraid to allow it inside.
Real beauty comes from within. No kidding, I'm mostly attracted to self-assured women. They don't hide behind their shyness, hence showing themselves clearly. I can't love another unless I can see who they really are....

Answer to:
Is it true that most runway models are anorexic?
All models should have just about the same figure and measurements to randomly fit into the clothes. Anorexic women are REALLY thin. When to skinny, models aren't suitable to wear the clothes. So my first guess is no. Only question remains, does nowadays ideal runway-figure compromise health?
Maybe there's a minimum weight/length ratio to indicate possible anorexia.
Answer to:

Answer to:
How does one find out what clothes will look fashionable on them?
Fashion is mostly about beauty. Use clothes to highlight your strong points, and to mask your less strong points. For instance, black pants mask thick thighs. Beauty is also in the eye of the beholder, so don't worry to much about it; you just can't please everybody. As long as you feel comfortable in your clothes, you will look self-assured and radiate more happiness. Thats what...
Answer to:
If fashion is about individual expression, why are there so many followers?
Even if you are immune to mass-psychology, and know exactly what clothes you want to underline your induviduality, try finding them. Only used-clothes stores show enough variëty, most others only sell the new fashionlines. However wearing the same stuff as your nabour isn't nescessarily a bad thing, (maybe unless your nabour is from the opposite gender). Yin/Yang-stuff: Wanting to be...

How do you sew on a button?
However you do it; likely you do a better job than the factory. It's a good habit to sew them over, when buying something new. Just to prevent them from falling off. I'm kinda lazy myself, so I use a tiny drop of crazyglue to seal the thread.
Answer to:
Is brand name clothing really worth the higher price?
Although brands have a name to defend, and therefore tend to deliver a more steady quality, profits on clothing are HUGE. If you have eyes for it, you can save a lot of money. Similar products often come from the same factory. A survey has shown the extra money you pay for popular makes solely goes to advertisment (completing the circle). In a grocerystore that is, any I refuse to believe...

What would happen if the oxygen level of Earth rose above 21%?
Below 17% everyone dies, over 25% everything burns like hell. That's what a fireman told me. If the level rises, I'm sure our species will adapt. However, if we start to grow bigger, our volume to skin-surface ratio will increase, which causes us to overheat faster.
Answer to:
Why do computers crash?
Computers crash because it's good for bussiness. Never give the people what they want, always make them crave for more. Although the cumputers core is much, much faster than 10 years ago, in the end there isn't any improvement of working speed. To slow them down software becomes more bulky, although the alphabeth doesn't grow. Also new computers aren't compatible with old...

If I lower the commode seat for her when I'm finished, should she raise the seat for me when she's finished?
If the wife doesn't like to touch the germy seat, she should have done a better job cleaning it.
No, just kidding, a toiletseat can be very filthy. Therefore, when in a strange place, I always lick the seat spotless clean before sitting on it.

Cats land on all fours, and buttered toast always lands face down, just to annoy you. So what will happen if you tie a piece of buttered toast to a cat's back?
About the cat: we've lost a cat once. It broke it's neck falling from only 8 feet. Doctor said the cat would be fine if it fell from the 3rd floor. A cat is able to turn itself around in mid air, but it needs some time to do so.
The sandwich: had a few mishaps with those too, but I never saw it as a scientific issue; always thought the man upstairs didn't like me.

What suggestions/improvements would you have that may of made the Titanic stay afloat?
I'm no expert on ships, but right after the collision I would've set sail towards the iceberg. I bet it didn't sink; using ice sculpting it would make a decent lifeboat. The only thing I can come up with about keeping Titanic afloat, is to concentrate all pumping power on the slowest filling, forward compartment. Only one compartment needed to be saved, in order to keep the ship...
