Answer to:
What is "no-fi" and what does it sound like?
no-fi sounds like a made up term but i would assume it's in reference to noise. i mean noise the style of "music" where people make terrible noise.
the other option would be music that is just really horribly recorded i.e. tape recorders etc...

Answer to:
9 Ball or 8 Ball and why?
9 ball. reasons:
you can play with an odd number of people
you can win on your second shot if you get a good combo shot
usually quicker
you can suck the whole game and then get one good shot at the end and win.
9 ball clearly kicks the doodoo out of 8 ball.

What is the origin of the phrase "mind your P's and Q's"?
i don't see why this is in the "about answerbag" section but i'm pretty sure the phrase is becuase p and q are pretty much identical just with the line on the other side. so it's common to get them mixed up. "we find the defendent, quilty"
it could have been b's and d's. but that sounds dumb and isn't so common to mess up because we rarely use...

What do you think was the best electric guitar solo ever recorded on a Rock albumn?
dragon force.
seriously. i know "they're new so they can't possibly compete with the greats" or whatever but seriously. watch the video of the "through the fire and flames" solo. absolutely insane. i can't air guitar as fast as they play.

Answer to:
I am a good guitar player but I still have trouble playing fast for solos and things like that. Any ideas on ways to practice finger speed?
as far as your picking goes i've heard that if you hold a coffee cup by the handle like a pick and "strum" it it makes you super fast. just do it while you watch t.v. or whatever. it builds up twitch muscles and stuff. oh and listen to dragon force. that makes you want to shred.

I keep getting a 'metal-on-metal' vibration noise when playing (often chords) my guitar, what could be causing this and what are some techniques in avoiding it? (I'm a beginner)
another thing to check is if the action on your strings is too low. that means that the strings are hitting the frets between the ones you play and the pick up. so press down on a single fret and make sure it's touching the neck and see if it buzzes. try that on all the strings and if any of them buzz then take it to a shop. if not, well then press harder haha. you'll get used to it...

Why do ministers sometimes use the term "Christ Jesus" instead of "Jesus Christ"?
