I have a kitten but our daughter is allergic to her. Do you think keeping a pet in the garage is ok or should i find a home for her?
What a shame, sorry to here of your dilemma! It doesn't sound like a very nice life for the kitten, if it were a grown up cat then it would be ok with it's bed and food in a garage -with a heater and access to the garden, as adult cats appreciate their independence! However, kittens are vulnerable and need to live in a home with lots of love. I think it might be best to find her a nice home =)

What is the traditional time for afternoon tea in England?
I think sometimes, particlarly with reference to Coronation Street 'afternoon tea' is confused with 'tea' which is what we in the north say to refer to our evening meal. If we're having a cup of tea we will ask 'Do you want a cup of tea?' whereas we say 'What do you feel like having for tea?' when we are planning our evening meal. Afternoon tea...

You may be able to take it to court as you had a verbal contract and you acted in good faith. Would be helpful if you had witnesses to back you up. Try a chat with a solicitor, most solicitors will give you some free advice.

My boyfriends brother's funeral is next week, the prayer service and the funeral i never met his brother but am going out of respect for him and his family the problem is, is that my neice (7 weeks old) I am watching, is it a good idea to take her?
It depends on the people there, some people are really strict about funeral 'protocol' and may feel put out by the baby being there. However other families are more relaxed and take the 'celebrating life' point of view.
I would talk your boyfriend first, then maybe his parents, or your boyfriends brother's wife/gf. Their feelings are the most important. Just explain...

I love this question!
I think of myself as a very 'tolerant' person and love discovering the way individuals think and believe different things, and all the reasons for those differences......BUT the attitude of people who wont accept evolution (as you have so nicely put it - without labelling anyone) absolutely makes my blood boil! Answer to:
Where did the stones for Stonehenge come from? How were they transported to the site?
82 bluestones from the Preseli mountains, in south-west Wales were transported to the site. It is thought these stones, some weighing 4 tonnes each were dragged on rollers and sledges to the headwaters on Milford Haven and then loaded onto rafts. They were carried by water along the south coast of Wales and up the rivers Avon and Frome, before being dragged overland again to near Warminster in...

What are some facts about Stonehenge?
- It was built with Bluestone, Sarson, and Welsh Sandstone.
- It was built between 3100 and 1600 BC
- The tallest stone is 7.3m high and weighs over 45 tonnes. It is one of the 5 sarsen Trilithons. The sarsen circle was originally composed of 30 uprights (each weighing about 25 tonnes) capped by horizontal lintels (about 7 tonnes). The bluestones, weighing up to 4 tonnes each, came from the...

Do manners still matter to you?
Yes, very much so. Manners are an integral part of human communiction in the modern world. Perhaps I shouldn't but I do take an instant dislike to rude people, they may be very nice people underneath but using bad manners, they are not projecting their true selves into the world. They appear ignorant and self-centred.
Answer to:
What is the difference between Medieval England and Renaissance England
We don't generally refer to a Renaissance in England, we refer to the Elizabethan period. This is the time when Shakespeare was alive and writing, many other writers and poets were prolific at this time. However, we had a period of around 200 years before Shakespeare (the time of Geoffrey Chaucer) where England was prolific in it's creativity. Medieval tends to refer to the time...

Thank you everyone, its really kind of you. I do believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking! He's a proper mongrel, we think staffie and shepherd (with a few others!) Only 2 and a half but he has the loveliest nature and had a very bad start as he was cruelly treated, then he had behavioural problems due to the previous neglect.

If you took in a relative's dog to babysit, and they never came to get it, how long would you wait before getting it spayed?
I think you need to decide definitely between yourself and the owner, which one of you the dog actually belongs to. We have animal 'passports' now which will allow you to bring your cat but it is pricey and has very strict rules, your cat will definitely need to be microchipped for a start and have had all vaccinations etc. However, she is right it would be around 6 months without the passport. Why do some people seem to have a problem with vegetarians? Are there really a lot of vegetarians who try to convert people or is that just an exaggeration?
There are lots of vegetarians like that. I can't stand veggies/vegans who 'preach'. They simply alienate the people they are trying to appeal to. I have 'converted' 4 people to veganism just by living healthily and happily,...

Our labrador/collie had severe epileptic seizures. If yours has only just started having them, I wouldn't worry too much as ours started at only 6 or 7. He needs to go to the vet immediately.
I had a dog with similar symptoms and it turned out to be an infection in his testicles. After having 'the chop' and a course of anti-biotics he was fine for many years. So dont worry about cancer just yet but he will be in lots of pain even if he's not showing it so get him to the vet asap!
