Should a surviving family member of a murdered person be permitted to throw "the chair" switch, start the drugs flowing, fire one of the rifles or operate the trap door, when their relative's killer is executed? Would YOU want to do that, if possible?
Oh no I couldn't do that ever.
What I would want to do is sit and talk with them and ask them WHY they did what they did, and hopefully gain some insight into the workings of their mind, and perhaps even some remorse for their actions.

Is our country getting so dangerous, that 4 wonderful police officers can't have a simple breakfast before going on watch, without being murdered? This isn't the USA I remember from 30-40 years ago. What do you think about this tragedy in WA state?
I saw this item of news on UK news.
The item was quite brief, so I don't know exactly what happened but I am totally shocked and disgusted by innocent officers being shot for no apparent reason.
These officers are doing a very brave job PROTECTING innocent people from lawbreakers.
I am even more perturbed by the fact that whatever happens in the USA slowly trickles into the UK.

My husband has had bypass surgery, and also many health problems. His surgery will have cost a lot of money.
We can choose where we want our surgery and prescription charges are £7.20 per item.
We could have improvements in the system, as could every other country, but overall the National Health Service here in the UK works really well.

Do you sometimes feel that family and friends only know you when they want something?
Is it money, favors, borrowing etc.?
I sometimes feel that 'friends' can be that way, but then I would hope they would reciprocate if I needed help. If they weren't there for me, then they are not true friends and I would ditch them.
My family are always there for me, in every respect, and I am always there for them, for whatever reason.

If you have a dog or cat, you should have to keep them well. Why do people get pets and not get them medical care?
I think sometimes people get pets as a 'fashion statement', because a lot of famous people carry their dogs around in fancy bags and dress them up, and we want to emulate these people.
It's all well and good to have this pet until something goes wrong and the pet needs treatment. Vets fees are not cheap and this is the time when this 'fashion statement' of a pet is...

Does an apologetic text message mean as much a face-to-face apology?
A text message as an apology means nothing at all.
When you are face-to-face with a person, you can pick up on their tone of voice, their body actions and how they are coming across to you.
You can then more ably decide whether the apology is genuine or 'just words'.

No no no.
Children pick up on what is happening in their parents' relationship. They may be young, but not stupid.

Answer to:
Since our parents took the obligation of spending at least 18 years raising us,should it not be our obligation to take care of them in their old age,as apposed to sending them to homes for the elderly?
I wouldn't say we are 'obliged' to care for our children, we do it out of love.
In the same way it would be nice if those same children took care of their parents when they became elderly.
I wouldn't dream of putting my mother in a care home, I would welcome her into my home, and take care of her with the love and affection she gave me as a child. +3

Which breads do your prefer, the more heavier, dense organic breads or the white breads found at grocery stores?
I make my own bread with organic wholemeal flour, and add seeds, fruits etc as the mood takes me.
It tastes nicer (and better for you) than the awful white bread you can buy.
I would recommend everybody try to make at least one loaf for themselves. They will never go back to the white bread.

Do you think that taking your dog on a leash to a store that allows it, to buy their food or treats is a good idea? Have you ever done that?
I have only ever taken my dog inside when I wanted a harness for her. She is a lhasa apso and therefore I was able to carry her.
Generally I wouldn't have taken her in, because of the other AB's comments ie biting, vaccinations etc. +3

As a kid, did you ever believe that you could really get away by sticking to your lie, even when all evidence were against you?
I would never tell a lie, because you will ALWAYS be found out, Liars have to have very very good memories, but one day they will slip up and then they will be in serious trouble.
Also once they have been found out in a lie, they will never be trusted again.
My philosophy is always tell the truth. Life is much easier that way.

I really like this girl and my bestfriend told this girl that i like her and that i am really nice and everything, and this girl seems interrested, what should i do? Should i try and have a chance with this girl or not?
I would start with being a friend of hers. Go out in groups, get to know each other. Then when you are comfortable with being with her and with other people, ask her out - just the two of you. That way you won't feel awkward.
Love isn't easy, but if you are comfortable with the one you love then you will be more relaxed and things will flow naturally.
Good luck. I wish you well.

When walking a dog do you think it is enough to walk them on the lead or do you think they should go for a good old run off the lead?
I think it is fine to take them for a walk on their lead. The dog gets exercise and so do you.
A dog who isn't under control can approach - and attack - another dog. I have seen this happen.
Then it leads to animosity between the two dog owners.

I have 2 dogs, 1 older than the other. The older one always licks my younger on. Eyes, ears, even her back. She'll be soaked! Any ideas Y?
The older dog is 'mothering' the younger dog. The older dog is also putting it's scent on the younger dog. This happened to my two dogs. What we did was, every time the older dog did this, we would take the younger dog away from the older dog, and cuddle the younger dog, thus placing OUR scent on the younger one. Eventually it worked for us. Good luck

Personally I think he is far too young, but if she is kind and loving towards him, then perhaps things will work out. If she is only with him for her own selfish gain, then I think it is appropriate that you help your brother all you can, without being too pushy. If you start being rude about his girlfriend he may want her even more. Be subtle about it. What a caring sibling you are. I wish you...

Any ideas for a good dog name? Small dog, very furry, black. Must be an easy to pronounce/remember/spell name that's not "too unusual". Names with meanings are good too.
