What helps you remember names?
Get a little voice recorder - fairly cheap ones can record good quality from in a pocket for well over 24 hours without changing batteries. At the start of your day, or before you go into a possible meeting-people situation, turn it on (lock it so it doesn't turn back off) and forget about it. When you get home, transfer the audio files to your computer and use some easy software (I use...

In the cell next to the topmost entry of your column, type the equal sign, then click the cell to the left with one of your numbers in it, and *6.5, then "enter"; so you would type "=, then click the cell to the left with your number to be multiplied, then *6.5, enter" ... then, in that same cell which you just typed in, double-click the bottom right corner of the cell.

Play a game against her, like a video game. If she looses, she has to prank call one of your teachers acting like she's Elmo. If you loose, then she gets to dress you like a girl. Then just loose on purpose.

When I turned on my stove to make coffee this morning it made a loud hissing sound and the flames from the burner were 12 to 16 inches high.
What is happening here? I can turn it down and make coffee but this is weird. It is still acting up.
Hissing was likely gas. Sounds like something's screwed up - Kind of like when a lighter goes all "crack ligher" on you. I wouldn't mess with it anymore and get someone to fix it before it gets stuck like that one time. Of course if you smell gas when it ain't on, get out and call emergency gas people.

I have been in a relationship with a girl for the last four months....we live 100 miles away...we are on the phone 40 minutes out of every hour we are awake...we see each other either every weekend or every other weekend....is this normal
It is normal to be together four months with someone. There are plenty of relationships with people 100 miles apart and see each other every weekend or so. It is not normal to talk 40 minutes of every hour on the phone to the same person because most people have to go to work or something that would make that impossible.

Stay away from that. It doesn't matter if you know her well, or if it is someone you've never known ever. You can't just go around screwing people's husbands, and kid's married fathers, whether you feel like you love them or not. He was just more approachable to you. Whats the answer to -2(4x-5)
You've got to have an equation first... For example, 2x=10, the answer for "what is x?" would be 5. For -2(4x-5)=0, you would have to think of what x would have to be to make -2(4x-5) be zero. If it were -2(4x-5)=10 then you would have to figure out what x would have to be to make -2(4x-5) equal to 10. Anyway, x can be anything: you just have to know what you want the equation...

y=-3 just means that any point on the line, the y value will always be -3. So, make a dot on the y-axis at -3. Then pick any point on the x-axis (say 5, for example) and the y will still be -3. So, to sum up all the values for this equation you would just have to draw a line all the way across at y=-3. It would be a flat line, of course, which doesn't tilt at all - That is what they...

Choose the best directions for graphing the equation y= (1/2)x + 1.
Go to 1 on the y-axis and make a dot. Go up 1, over(right) 2 and make a dot. Go up 1, over(right) 2 and make a dot. Go up 1, over(right) 2 and make a dot. ... See, the 1/2 is the up 1, over 2 thing. - You can also just go down 1 and over(left) 2 for the same thing. Draw a line through the dots and anywhere on that line you can pick where the y is and where the x is and the equation will be equal!

F(x) = 2x-12, find f(to the -1 power) (4). how do i solve this and what does the power to the f mean?
Anything to the -1 power just flips it upside down. (called inverting). For example, 27 to the -1 power would be 1/27.
Now, the "x" in the parentheses of F(x) is supposed to be a 4, it says. So, turn the x of "2x-12" into a 4, which would make it 2(4)-12, which equals 8-12, which equals -4.
Now, the "to the -1 power" would flip it all upside down...

If not, then why not?
No because no one ever told me it was cruel. They eat fish in the bible even - You know, loaves and fishes and all that. HE hasn't slung a dime to get that to happen... kind of like how Johnny Depp doesn't pay for advertisement of that Public Enemies movie - but it sure wouldn't sell as well without him in the lead role.

If second hand smoke is proven to kill are smokers murderers?
Everybody's a murderer in some regard. You chose not to donate one time, which resulted in someone not getting that last meal that would have kept them from dying, so you therefore chose for them to die by choosing not to donate, even though you didn't realize the consequences at the time. If your choice results in someone's death, you are a murderer. We are all then murderers.

Methanol may work, as it is mixed with some things to keep them from freezing - Farmers put water in their tractor tires to weigh them down to get better traction - methanol is added to keep the water from freezing. It is an antifreeze ingredient in windshield wiper fluid also. It is also used as racing fuel so may not harm your thing you're putting gas into, but check with a mechanic...

How did Darwin conclude that species evolved, if at the time scientist have not yet to identified half the species we have identified today?
Believers in evolution fall under the spell of the Latin terminology and pompous language. One of the most effective ways of getting these people to think is to explain what the theory of evolution actually maintains in a very clear and simple manner, and thus to remove the spell under which they have fallen.

I'm teaching my 10 year old nephew about buying and selling stocks. Can you explain a 'PUT' option to him (bear in mind - he still plays Pokémon)?
It is a bet that a stock will fall. A lot of people are suspicious about the abnormal increase of put option purchases of United and American Airlines just before 911.
The opposite is a call option - a bet that a stock will rise.
Of course, why they are "bets" on the rising or falling of stock needs more explanation, but this should tide him over for now.

Who is responsible for teach social morals to children? (Schools, Parents, or should it be a joint effort?)
The parents are an easy answer, but only if the parents are there. There is an ongoing effort to take parents out of their child's upbringing - through influences to be "a hard working man dusk till dawn" and a "strong woman who can hold her own with a full time job also," which leaves mainly the schools to do it all. Unfortunately the schools aren't allowed to...
