Not sure I understand your question - are you referring to commitment ceremonies or civil unions? I think many gay couples opt for that as opposed to marriage. I've met straight couples who got married at city hall and they're doing just fine.

No, and why is this debate still going on? If the "founding fathers" had wanted to establish the USA as a Christian nation, they had every opportunity to state just that. They did not. Many of them were racist and hypcrites, but they also recognized what can happen when church and state are one.

Yes, although I personally believe that marriage is meant to be between a man and a woman. However, "marriage" tends to be considered a sacrament by many people, and this makes it a religious issue, which is none of the government's business. Legalize it already!

Not at all. I was on a serial killer "kick" back in the 1990's - I read all kinds of true crime books and such, but I stopped short of calendars and t-shirts. Those things were a bit too much.

I have yet to go to England, but I've been an "Anglophile" for about as long as I've been alive - 45 years as a matter of fact. Music was one of the first things that drew me in, growing up in the late 60's into the 70's most of the bands I liked were from England....

First and foremost it's because I like the question or it intrigued me enough to answer it. If I like the questioner I'm more likely to check out their questions, but that doesn't mean I'll like them or answer them. I appreciate points I receive, but that's not my bottom...
