Medicine simply cures *symptoms* which are trying to help you get rid of the virus or whatever, thus exacerbating the situation health-wise. Is my logic flawed? If it's over-the-counter stuff you're talking about, go a head and stop taking them unless your symptoms are causing you to lose sleep or to have unbearable discomfort. Are the those pictures of space taken by the hubble telescope really real? Those pictures are so magnificent. Did they add color to the pictures to enhance them? How could anything man made really see that far into space and get that good of pictures? They are real and unaltered. I have seen a nebula through a light telescope (which could not have been altered) and it was an intense shade of green. It was pretty tiny though. But the Hubble telescope has a much larger mirror and is outside of the Earth's atmosphere, so it would have much better magnification and clarity.

In the event of an engine failure on a helicopter, there is a certain glide slope that can be used that gives the helicopter enough forward motion to spin the rotors fast enough to create a slow descent.

If you dug down into the Earth would the effect of gravity get less the deeper you went? The closer you get to the surface of the earth, the stronger the gravity becomes. So as you go out into space, gravity would decrease because of the distance between you and earth. The deeper you dig, the weaker gravity becomes because the part of the earth above you would also pull on you.
