Your Chicks may have been attacked by a rat. I unfortunately lost a few plus chickens do not have much blood to lose. My suggestion would be to set a rat trap, get your chickens to higher ground, a wire protective cage. So sorry.

First you need to take possession of the horse. Then I would ship him to U Penn/ Cornell/ UC Davis/ Tufts and have a complete work up done on him. They will tell how to proceed and make him the most comfortable.

I suspect your mare is a Quarter Horse. They are prone to navicular. The first thing you need to do is have this mare checked out by your farrier. It is possible that rolling the toes, changing the angles slightly ,a a different shoe may help. If the farrier cannot pick up a problem then...

Yes. I have a designated area for the horses. I have set it up so that even if I die the boundaries are set that will not allow the graves to be disturbed. I have a grave stone, engraved, set on the hill that expresses my sentiments for all. I find it comforting. My brother's...

Either clean up the area so he has no choice but to walk the straight and narrow OR you can buy a product called "Forbid". It is added to the food and makes the poop unattractive. If it is wild animal pooh - LOL and then be prepared for them to roll in it!

My state will not allow pups to be sold before 8 weeks of age. The reason is the pups learn pack behavior, how to get along, ie socialization. I can agree with the breeder on the no vaccinations as there is a new protocol. The females antibodies may be interfering with the pups immune system...

Yep but only if YOU feed them more! Like animals in the wild, domestic animals have a natural calendar. If it's cold, eat more - build up a layer of protective fat. Unfortunately, I do the same. :(

This is the best solution I have used when it comes to gucky ears. It was given to me years ago by a veterinarian. This is not my recipe. As stated, it was given to me years and years ago by a vet. 16 oz. bottle isopropyl alcohol (or witch hazel) 4 tablespoons Boric Acid Powder 16 drops...

I was a horse addict. I had all the plastic horses and riders that one child could have, I had Indians, cowboys etc. In the era of Roy Rogers/ Lone Ranger/ Fury/ Hopelong catastrophe/ Gene Autry/ Silver - sigh. I was in Western heaven. I miss those old simple, clean programs.
