If the dog is losing major weight, he is not healthy.

If you have one horse in a stable, how often should the manure be shoveled out and what is the going rate for manure shoveling?
The more often you shovel out the healthier your horse's feet will be, the healthier your horse will be from ammonia build up in the stall.
If you are doing it yourself, clean the stall whenever you go feed.
If hiring ---LOL ---a professional is not going to come for 1 horse. That leaves you with a retired person or a child. If the child is under 16 and gets hurt, you are doomed!

Can horses have twins and have a stillbirth and still be pregnant with the other foal.
Yes. One foal can be born dead or that foal can be mummified. The remaining foal can be perfectly normal.
Many things can cause this: the development of one of the fetuses, nutritional competition between fetuses, genetic and/ or hormonal abnormalities. So many factors are involved.
Many times pinching off one fetus, if detected by ultrasound within the first 30 days, will also...

Temperature is most critical at this time. Pups need to be maintained about 90 degrees when first born and the temp decreases 5 degrees each week till the pups are on their own and their body heat can be maintained. Pups have to rely on mom for heat - they cannot maintain heat on their own.
Try a heat lamp but make sure the pups can get away from the heat is necessary. Pinch the skin of...

Are pets that "save their owner's life" by alerting them to a housefire actually just selfishly saving their own lives because they can't open the door to escape?
No. There are too many news stories about pets perishing in fires. Had they known, they would have alerted the owners. So figure it takes a smart pet to save both.

Your Chicks may have been attacked by a rat. I unfortunately lost a few plus chickens do not have much blood to lose. My suggestion would be to set a rat trap, get your chickens to higher ground, a wire protective cage. So sorry.

I suspect your mare is a Quarter Horse. They are prone to navicular.
The first thing you need to do is have this mare checked out by your farrier. It is possible that rolling the toes, changing the angles slightly ,a a different shoe may help.
If the farrier cannot pick up a problem then you need to have the vet check her out. That could include X-rays or nerve blocking.

I just bought my great dane puppy on sunday and noticed that her poop is always runny... The breeder hasn't given her any shots yet... She just turned 7 weeks.. I wormed her on monday.. She did have worms.. what could be causing her runny poop?
My state will not allow pups to be sold before 8 weeks of age. The reason is the pups learn pack behavior, how to get along, ie socialization.
I can agree with the breeder on the no vaccinations as there is a new protocol. The females antibodies may be interfering with the pups immune system if the vaccinations are given too early. The new suggestion is to start the vaccinations at 9 weeks...

Why did the vet give the dog antibiotics if he has no diagnosis, temperature?
Look at it this way. You have a very confused dog ( the older the more confused) that hasn't a clue who you are, has been in in multiple unfamiliar locations and he is supposed to be all Mr. playful and Joyful.
Did your vet request a fecal to check for worms? If negative then cook up some chicken breast....

That implies that left handed people do not live as long as right handed people.

She has ear mites and is 10 years old has just started going in her back legs and no amount of baths can get rid of her stinky odour, I have tried drops in her ears and her pee has blood at the end
Dogs don't usually get ear mites so you could be dealing with a fungal infection.

If she is a young puppy you could be dealing with "puppy pyoderma". This is usually self limiting and can be speeded along with an antibiotic ointment.
The diarrhea is another matter. It is possible it is your food. A lot of changes have been made to dog food and one of the first signs a dog will exhibit is loose stools.

A woman files sexual harassment charges against her employer. Does the wife of the employer have standing to file charges against the woman because she's been an active and agreeable participant in their affair, not a victim of harassment?
My view and I am not an atty.
If the woman filing sexual harassment has been agreeable in this affair and it can be proven that she is a willing participant, then she is open to all sorts of repercussions.
If she is slandering her boss and it can be proven , she is in big trouble.
The wife should stay out of the mess, support her husband if he is innocent and let him bring a countersuit.

I went walking down by the river. Someone yelled, "Duck!" I looked up in the sky. No ducks. Then a frizbie smacked into me. Why were they calling me a duck, anyway?
Because if they had yelled, "Hey man in the light blue colored shirt with grey sweat pants and white tennis shoes heading southwest, watch out for the Frizbie." Don't you think you would have been clobbered anyway?
So if someone yells "duck", hit the dirt!

Many dogs do this occasionally but when it becomes chronic you have to look for other causes.

In my case for a dog, it would be a top breeder of my preferred breed.
A cat I would go to the shelter. At one time in the past, I had 28 strays here. Most were dropped off at the driveway and wandered back on the farm.
One dog I adopted from the town shelter so IF forced to make a choice on the above selections, it would be the shelter.

Answer to:
How long before you can tell if a dog is pregnet and how long is the cycle of pregnancy?
If your female has been bred then figure 59-66 days gestation with 63 being average.
False pregnancies are really not that common in your 18 mo. to 6 year old dogs. False pregnancies are due to hormonal imbalances and occur more often in the older female.
In many of the large breeds pregnancies are not that visible until the 5th week. You may observe morning sickness at around 3 weeks....

Sorry gross question, My 8 month old pitbull keeps digging my used pads out of the trashcan and tearing them up, not eating them, just licking them and ripping them to shreds. How do I get him to stop this?
Have a tight fitting lid on the container

Sprinkle hot pepper over the top
Get them immediately out of the house
Set 2 mouse traps in the trash can - 1 goes off, the other is a back up. It will not hurt this size dog and you could weaken the spring a bit if this bothers you.

Would you rather buy something new or used? If used let's assume the value does not depreciate. For ex: a used book still is the same words. Not as in a car which has immediate depreciation and a more questionable functional value (might be a clunker)
I prefer to buy NEW for most items - cars, appliances, TVs, beds etc. I have warranties going for me, lemon laws, blogs esp. if it's a car. The trade off is that the car drops in value as you drive off the lot.
Collectors books I will buy used in super to good condition depending on usage and damage. Damage from normal wear/ usage on an old book is nothing and could actually increase...

Don't put up with this food possession nonsense. Make him sit before you feed him. Let him have a couple of bites and take the bowl away from him. People that are 2 faced.

I was raised that unless the person told you to call them by their first name, you addressed them as Mr. or Mrs. XYZ.
There are some children, and adults, that Mrs. XYZ seems too formal but they don't feel right calling me by my first name, even after I have said it would be fine. These folks call me Mrs. D. It grows on you and seems special to me.

Is it possible to be so successfully hypnotized, that you can be "forced" (WITH your consent, of course) to TOTALLY FORGET someone, or some incident? Could a rape victim be hypnotized into forgetting all about it?
I don't think so.
Rape goes to your core being and survival instincts. Hypnotizing could be a tool to help understand and defuse some of those feelings but rape goes too deep to totally blot out unless you had a lobotomy.
For example: A person with Dementia was attacked in his home and so frightened by what happened to him that he dialed 911 but he could not tell the cops who...

Mustang pony mare. Most likely in foal. No way of knowing when she will foal. Heres a pic tell me what you see? This was slightly smaller when she was transported to the farm. She was dropped of on May 17th.
The vet might possibly be able to estimate when she is due but there are other signs of impending birth.
Watch for mammary development, softening of the muscles over the croup, stomach area sagging as time nears, waxing, eyes getting soft and large, restlessness at night, pawing, may or may not good off feed within 12 hours.
No picture came through that I could see so am just winging it.

I think you can learn a lot from losing.
Take the British for example: They found that marching in a straight line and firing their rifles did very little when the Americans hid behind trees and refused to be targets. They lost many men so warfare changed, new strategies were developed and honed etc.

Dog owners: How often do you brush your dog and what breed is it?
I don't and have not for over 50+ years if this relates to brushing teeth.
I think this is just another way to rip off pet owners. The diet of the animal plays an important part in whether the teeth will need scaling or not. What foods are you feeding? Soft stuff that contributes to tartar build up or a more natural diet of bones/ chewies that clean teeth naturally.
The choice is...

If I want a protection dog, I am not going to go and adopt a sheltie/beagle cross. I am going to buy a breed known for protection ie a German Shepherd, Rottie, Dobie.

Female can relate to a child, woman or lady.
A woman is a general term and is not necessarily a lady. I would not call a prostitute a lady!
A lady is a cultivated person, usually had a role model to emulate as they matured, most likely had more advantages such as wealth which allowed them to attend the best colleges etc. They are regal in actions, carriage and demeanor, genteel ie. Queen...

If you go back in years, you will find that salaries of the middle class and lower stagnated as compared to the upper 5%. This gap has led to a lot of the problems we are experiencing.
When the middle and lower class are working, we all prosper. When the rich hog everything, we the people pull back. We don't have the extra money to spend on luxuries so the whole economy tanks.
