6 years ago I sold a weanling colt. The blacksmith they use did something wrong. He is clubbed all around now with bowed front leg. all hooves are diff shapes Owners are talking euthnization. I offered him a lifetim home. Any blacksmith ideas out there First you need to take possession of the horse. Then I would ship him to U Penn/ Cornell/ UC Davis/ Tufts and have a complete work up done on him. They will tell how to proceed and make him the most comfortable.

I have a 13 year old mare. When I ride her she frequently stumbles, is very rough on the canter. Her previous owner told me that one of this mares fillies has navicular and that she was concerned that my horse might have it also? I suspect your mare is a Quarter Horse. They are prone to navicular. The first thing you need to do is have this mare checked out by your farrier. It is possible that rolling the toes, changing the angles slightly ,a a different shoe may help. If the farrier cannot pick up a problem then you need to have the vet check her out. That could include X-rays or nerve blocking. Good luck...

She was dropped of on May 17th. The vet might possibly be able to estimate when she is due but there are other signs of impending birth.
