Why is it that when I download a desktop wallpaper that is 1024x768, I look at its properties and its size says its 150x113?
There is a chance that you are just downloading a thumbnail of the wallpaper.
Does the picture that you've downloaded look 1024x768? If it does, yet it's properties say different, I can't tell you what's wrong. However, you should be able to open up the file in any photo editing software, or MS Paint for that matter, and save it as a new photo. This new file should...

When your vehicle is pulled over by a police officer and they ask you "Do you know why I pulled you over?" what is the best response?
"Why did you pull me over?"
When they ask "Do you know why I pulled you over?", they are simply looking for an admission to put into the report to make conviction much easier.
It's not a direct answer to the question, but if you say no, and you really were doing something wrong(let's just say speeding), then how are you going to contest anything they say you...

When police officers break the law do they deserve special treatment or should they get harsher treatment than civilians.
Everyone is equal under the law. No one is above the law. Therefore, they should be held to the same accountability as civilians.
Where it gets a little blurry is when you have an officer that does something that is lawful in the line of duty, but not completely in line with guidelines set for the officer.
Examples:
Going 90 over the speed limit when running code 3

Can a police officer walk into a bar and tell everyone if anybody gets in their car and attempts to drive he will pull them over? And then stop them before they get out of the lot, and arrest them for DUI?
It's the same principle as a security checkpoint. If the police let you know that you can't bring any guns through the checkpoint before you get to it, they can still check you for guns to make sure you are in compliance. If you are carrying a gun, you go to jail. If not, you go on your merry way.

Well intended, but misguided. Some people spank. Some people don't. They want to protect the child, but really, all they are doing is not stopping the child's bad behavior soon enough. Children obey the head of the family(the father), and we are supposed to obey God.

While the actual age varies by state, the average of 18 should be raised. People fail to realize what a marriage takes, and how to cope with it's troubles. Why are cops trained to shoot to kill in all situations? Ex: Cops was called to teen girls house. She came at him with a knife, he shot and killed her. News said justifiable shooting. Could he not have shot her in the leg to stop her?
Shooting her in the leg doesn't guarantee that she can't kill him. She could still walk, just in pain. Slowing down an attack doesn't stop it. If she is still moving towards him with a knife, she is a threat to him. If he runs, she becomes a threat to other people. Shooting to kill is necessary to guarantee protection for the officer and any civilians that may be in danger.

What do you do when you find out that your attorney has violated attorney-client confidentiality?
If they told something incriminating about you, thank them. Now that it's out in the open, you don't have to lie about it. If not, you can file a legal malpractice lawsuit. You just better be able to prove it and have more to gain than you have to lose if whatever confidential information they shared can hurt you. What was confidential will become public knowledge if you take them to...

Individual people and factories. The government doesn't do much polluting. They could impose more regulations on the factories, but that might result in massive unemployment. My boyfriend cheated on me once,then lied to me again 2 yrs later.He promises he wont hurt me again,and he's made so many changes for me unlike the first time n makes me so happy.Is it foolish to stay with him even though i believe he wont hurt me again?
How long has it been since he lied to you? You should really reassess your relationship with him before you go any further. If he didn't learn his lesson the first time, what makes you think he learned it the second time? If you are suspicious, confront him. If he gets aggressive, you can probably know he is lying to you. If he seems genuinely hurt, he's probably telling the truth.

Not really. Certain pharmacies might, but not the pharmaceutical industry itself.

What do you think of the Fox news channel?
I love it. Other people hate it because they don't like the fact that Fox isn't liberally biased. Just an opinion.
Nobody actually reports ALL the news. Each network knows what it wants to accomplish. They always make the news be what they want. I believe Fox does this the least of all the major networks.

Did anyone see the full Saddam execution video? I managed to look it up on the net and see the whole thing (including him falling through the trap door etc) Anyone interested in seeing it? Awww SNAP!
You looked it up on the net, eh? Why don't you send the link to the networks. Or, download the video, put your own watermark on it, and then submit it to them. Then you could be famous.
Unless something has changed in the past few hours, wasn't the video in the hands of the Iraqi government, which wasn't going to release it immediately?

What, according to you, is the root of all evil?
While Satan is a good answer, I believe the answer he is looking for is:
GIRLS
First we state the fact that girls require time and money:
GIRLS = TIME × MONEY
And we all know that ”Time is Money”:
TIME = MONEY
Therefore:
GIRLS = MONEY × MONEY = (MONEY)^2
And because ”Money is the Root of All Evil”
MONEY =√ EVIL
Therefore:

Because the body's not in it.
That way, if there was an attack on that location, they wouldn't achieve anything.
Hey...it could happen...
I seriously don't know, but in the world we live in today, this is certainly a plausible possibility.

Why does it seem like men are more violent than women?
Men's brains react differently to stimuli than women's brains. Also, while it may SEEM like men are more violent, it's probably about equal. Women are much more willing to report an attack by a man than a man is to report getting attacked by a woman. It's a pride thing.

Affirmative action is useless. Those employers who embrace affirmative action would probably try to hire black people over white people whether or not there was "affirmative action". Those employers who "affirmative action" was designed for don't use it. If they are racist, a principle(for lack of a better word) is meaningless. Unless it has the force of law, good luck...

I only agree with research on adult stem cells. While others don't agree with me, I believe a fetus is a living person. Why do some women keep their surname after getting married, and why do some hyphenate their last name? Do they not love their husbands enough? Is the old "men can't commit" excuse?
God made the man the head of the household. If you're going to represent a family(a group of people with something in common...they live together), it helps to have some way to identify which "group" you belong with, much like kids in school wear similar t-shirts on field trips. That's kind of what a last name does. Therefore, if you're going to have an identifier for...

Photolabs today use a machine to do all the work. The roll is placed in a holder while the end of the roll is taped to a leader card.
