Answer to:
Why do we want who we can't have?
Because chasing after someone lets you concentrate on the chase instead of who you're chasing. It's mysterious, it has allure, it's unknown and we think, secretly, maybe this is the one, maybe this one's perfect. She's the perfect one for me, she has to be.
But once you have them, the chase ends, you wake up, and you see the stark reality of who they really are. 9...

Either (the way I see it):
The person thinks they're so low that they don't deserve you.
The person thinks you're so pure/ethical/moral/whatever that they don't want to bring you down.
The person is trying to be polite about not really being in to you.

I don't think God is a person, so of course God doesn't have a gender.
But calling it 'He' makes it easier to relate to, as humans. And it makes more sense in writing.
It's just unfortunate that in the old ages men took advantage of this thing and turned it into sexism.

If you’re creeped out by snakes or spiders, why? Is it just that they look so unnatural slithering towards you w/ no visible means of propulsion, or w/ too many legs, looking like a self-propelled hacked-off hand in a horror movie, or what?
My thing's more about spiders. I hate the way they walk, the way they move with their little legs, bending and shifting, how they writhe when they move, how they're small and are good at hiding. Damn it, just describing it makes me shudder and look around to check any aren't there.

Is wristcutting bad? It seems to be the only thing that calms me down. What should I do?
Most people reckon squeezing ice is a good idea; I disagree, because it's still using pain to control emotional distress. The idea is to find a non-harmful way of controlling it; but in the best case, the idea is to solve whatever problem you have so that you don't even need to control anything anymore.
Cutting is bad for you because it reinforces the notion of using pain to calm...

Does anyone believe that Jesus was just another prophet and not the son of God?
Yeah, me. Sort of.
I believe that, yes, Jesus was the 'son of God'; but this does not exclude him from being a prophet as well. I just think that waaay back, 2000 years ago, saying "son of God" was probably the closest thing that He could say that made sense, to describe His station. I believe that all the prophets - Muhammad, Moses, etc; are all from the same God, and so...

Do you think one reason that kids are so disrespectful nowadays is because parents don't give their children enough spankings?
Know what sucks? Sometimes, a parent didn't get enough attention when /they/ were a kid, so to 'make up' for it sometimes they use their children to make themselves feel better. They do this sometimes by training their children to respect them, or to be obedient; and the helpless child has no choice but to obey because to do otherwise would risk outcasting them from their...

Absolutely - in fact, it's a fundamental part of my religion. As a Baha'i (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahá'í_Faith), one of the major principles of my faith is the harmony of science and religion.

Not necessarily. If you download your music then you're probably downloading mp3s at 128kbps, because that's the lazy option. It makes the file size smaller at the cost of quality. Mp3s can go up to 320kbps, which is way better quality.

If u think u love someone, but u want them to do some stuff that they dont do (like touch u more, be more sweet and patient, talk to u more, be more romantic and suprising) then do u really love that person? Or is there a such thing as a perfect person?
I think before you ask yourself this, you should ask yourself if you fulfill all these criteria. It's hypocrisy to expect something from someone else if you aren't willing to put in the effort to do it yourself. Are you sweet, patient, romantic and surprising? If you aren't, perhaps if you change your significant other will see this change, and change accordingly.

I think they're different quotes about different things. I don't think it means literally 'rise from the dead', it probably refers to a time when no one has faith anymore and then suddenly the spirit of faith returns.
The second bit is probably symbolic too, perhaps a return to old values or old ways of thinking or chivalry or justice (or whatever 'saint'...

If a guy tries to kills someone but fails and then tries again and does kill them; will he be charged with attempted murder and murder, or just murder?
Thing is, the State is the prosecution, not the victim. So they're like two separate crimes against the State. The victim just happens to be involved in both.

Should every famous person be proud or humble for their achievements?
Humble, in my opinion.
Pride breeds disunity, because it all becomes a competition. Certainly one should feel good about their achievements, but it should be because they're doing something for someone else (in this case, entertaining millions of people), rather than because they think they're better than someone.

Explain what is meant by a fall in the inflation rate?
Well, put simply, inflation is when you print lots of money and effectively 'dilute' the currency, making each dollar (or unit of currency) worth less.
So a fall in the inflation rate means the currency's being diluted at a slower rate.

Here's a thought. Perhaps it's overheated? When a graphics card overheats, it can glitch up and produce strange things (called "artefacts" sometimes) on the display. Have you tried shutting it down and leaving it for a while?
Batman's right; back up your hard drive now, just in case.

I think it'd be better to just let her go. If it's meant to be (in other words, if she actually likes/misses you), she'll call you back.
And personally, if she only wants to see you once a week, I think she's being unreasonable.

My Logikmp3 player Model LOG OV 2GB is saying i have no files when I switch it on, but when I check the mp3 player itself on the computer my files are there. How can this be sorted?
I had the same problem. This fixed mine:
I just put all the music in a folder called "Music". For some reason, it all worked fine as long as the music was in that folder.
If you can, also try defragmenting the mp3 player while it's plugged in. And do an error scan, too.

Do you believe there is a lot of religious biased on answerbag?
Yes. I see a lot of Christian-based arguing which inevitably comes back to something written in the Bible. Personally I can't take the literal points the Bible makes, because they make no sense. However, when people disagree, then usually one person will try to 'convince' the other person that they are wrong, which causes arguments, flaming, disunity, the whole thing.

If a person doesn't eat for 3 or more days will it be difficult for him/her to make him/herself eat again?
Yes, because they will have gotten used to not eating. When you don't eat for a while, your body switches and holds on to its nutrients for as long as possible.
Answer to:
Do you enjoy eating?
No. I think it's so inefficient.
Think about it.
You insert some food in your mouth (how organic). Then you have to chew it down and pulverise it, and swallow it, and it sits in your stomach. Then _some_ nutrients are absorbed by the stomach lining in an inefficient manner, and the rest is wasted.
And for this reason I think eating is a waste of time, and I avoid it wherever possible....

Answer to:
If you alone stumbled upon proof that there is no higher life form (god[s]) would you share it with the world or keep it secret and why?
Tricky.
If you share the knowledge that there is no God, then weaker minded people who believe to 'get into heaven' will degenerate, get drunk all the time, have rampant sex, and basically sin, sin, sin.
Which means a lot of productivity is wasted, the economy collapses, random fights and wars happen, morals sink, no one's life will have a purpose beyond self-gain and...

If people on here care so much if AR is to become number 1, why don't they stop rating me and rate her up? And if they all DON'T care like so may claim, why do they go on about it?
Just take it in stride, and don't worry about it. You don't need to make an entire question for this, it attracts attention to the situation. Then more people get involved, more people get angry, and AB disintegrates.

This 'question' wasn't even worded as a question...
It's possible he's waiting for the exactly right time to say it.
Or he avoids saying it because the less you say it the more meaning it has. Conversely, the more you say it, the more diluted it becomes.

Who are you going to place your vote on for president
If I lived in America...
Tricky, since I don't know the candidates' policies. Oh, of course, I'd be voting democrat, but the question is either Clinton or Obama. See, Obama is Afrian-American, which is +5 to minority rights, but Hilary Clinton is female, which is +5 to emancipation of women. So it's really tricky. I'd have to see their policies.
Answer to:
When cleaning your house do you have a system?
Room by room, from the bottom of the house upwards.
In the rooms, cupboards and drawers first. Then desks. The floor (vacuuming, for example) is done systematically from left to right, across the carpet. Corners are done with an extendable nozzle.
This is because most people are at the bottom of the house, and also dust from the top eventually falls down; so the majority of dirt and dust...

I won't leave, because I enjoy answering questions and asking them. But grudgingly, because the moderation system is seriously flawed.

A legitimate question, if poorly worded or completely unreadable, is rated down. Bad spelling is rated down. Poor (really, really poor) grammar...

What do you think of rap/rnd/urban music?
Modern rap music disturbs me because of the effect it has on children. Just the other day, and I'm not joking, my 10 year old brother told me he wanted to be a 'pimp'. He wants to rap for a living, and I had to actually _explain_ what a pimp actually _is_ (he thought it was just a cool guy with a fur coat and a cane). I think that using the Internet would be very artificial and it wouldn't feel right. It just feels wrong and artificial.

How come on xbox live, the majority of players seem to be Spartans, not Elites? For halo 2.
The Elites look freaky, and move weirdly. Also, the head area is more elongated and so you have more y-axis to aim at to get a headshot with a sniper rifle.
No one seems to realise that when they jump, they're a bit more streamlined and curl up, making them smaller to hit.

Here's the thing. They might call your school and tell them what happened. But considering you go to school (making you a minor), what can they posibly do to you? They'll punish you, or try; but it won't be as severe as punishing an adult.

My girlfriend got drunk at a party and made out with a guy. The only reason she admitted it was because her friend told me first. I still want to stay together. What should I do?
Being drunk removes inhibitions, so you're more likely to do something that you normally keep buried under your emotions.
In this case, if extra freedom caused by getting drunk allowed her to make out with another guy, then that's what, deep down, she wants to do. The alcohol just freed up her inhibitions to allow her to do it.

Two words, hyphenated, are classified as one word. But only once.

Basically, with hyphens, you get one 'free' word.

Is it suggested that I whiten my teeth after I get my braces removed?
Well, that depends. People who don't take good care of their teeth while having braces find they have 'spots' of whiter teeth, where the braces used to be.
If this is the case, a little whitening can't hurt.
But I never had this problem, and neither have several people I've spoken to.

Can a regular Xbox play new Xbox 360 games?
Absolutely not. The Xbox can't handle the graphics, textures and code for Xbox 360 games. When you insert the disc, the Xbox will simply say "Can't determine if this disc is a game or a DVD" or to that effect.
X360 games are coded in such a way to utilise all threads of the processor. Since the Xbox has an obsolete processor, it wouldn't work.

Why do singers where ear plugs when performing/recording
They're performing very close to the amplifiers. No doubt with time the loud noise would damage their eardrums. So they wear earplugs to negate that somewhat. They still hear fine, since earplugs aren't 100% perfect and they're still very close ot the amplifiers.

Why do men keep their emotions to themselves and how can i get my lover of 6yrs to open up even though i know he loves me something seems to stop him actually saying those three words ,he rings and txtes everyday without fail and i see him several times?
Why do you want him to say those three words? What does it matter?
Men don't generally open up their emotions. They're guarded and defensive. What you can do is engage them in an activity of some sort, like watching TV, fixing something etc. Now you can talk to them (in a subtle, matter-of-fact way) and as long as they don't think it's important they tend to open up.

Some people seem to believe that if you don't have sex by the third date then you aren't in a relationship of any type and it will not work out. Where did this line of thinking come from?
Interesting. This line of thinking is probably to do with our media and advertising, selling sex and perpetuating the idea the sex is good, and is something everyone needs and has to have.
Personally, I know someone who has been going out with someone for 10 months, and has yet to even kiss her.

What are the differences between pants, pantaloons, and trousers?
Essentially... pantaloons are an old form of pants. Well, pants and trousers are usually the same thing, except 'trousers' calls to mind proper, long-legged pants, whereas the actual word 'pants' is a lot more general, meaning basically any clothing that can be worn on the legs.
'Pants' is a shortening of 'Pantaloons'. Pantaloons are usually more...

The thing is, usually nothing will happen. But if the computer is 'thinking' or doing something, such as processing an instruction, and you turn it off without letting it stop, whatever it was doing will be lost, discarded. For instance, if you turn it off while you're saving a pre-nuptual agreement (?) then said agreement will be lost.

25.0ml of 0,500m NaOH is used to react with a 15.0ml sample of vinegar (ch3cooh + h20) what is the molarity of ch3cooh in the sample? if someone solves this problem please show the steps of how this may be solved thank you as soon as posible
Equation: NaOH + CH3COOH -> H2O + CH3COONa
Ratio = 1:1
V NaOH = 0.025L
C NaOH = 0.5 Mol L^-1
N = CV Therefore N = 0.025 x 0.5
N = 0.0125 mols NaOH
And I'm fairly certain that, snce the ratio is 1:1, this is also the molarity of CH3COOH.

Do all solar panels come in black? If so, why?
The colour black naturally absorbs sunlight. Normal colours reflect that particular colour, for example a red shirt typically absorbs blue, purple etc, and reflects red so you see red. Black doesn't reflect any colour; it absorbs all colours.
By absorbing all colours it effetively absorbs all light. This is why black is the abscence of light. In this way, black is the most effective...

However, full penetration of the subject requires that the reader take a...

If we apply soap in the shower, why do water droplets stick to our bodies?
Soap, or sodium stearate, is a chemical hydrocarbon. It consists of a polar 'head' and a non-polar 'tail'. Dirt, grease, oil etc. is non-polar. Water is polar. Since like substances dissolve like substances, the 'tails' of soap stick to the dirt, and the 'heads' stay on the body. The 'tails' break off, taking the dirt with it (that's how...
