You often hear of them writing a minimum number of pages a day. The thing about most of them, they have a trash can. They try to weed out the best ideas to develop.

I can't compare with a slab of cement or a rotten apple. But I will appreciate them each and all. After all, an apple is only the core and the pavement can go on for miles.
