How long do you have to wear retainers after getting braces?

I had my braces off 7 years ago and I still wear them. I sometimes wear them two or three times a week. If I feel my retainer being tighter, I wear them more often. I think it really should be wore life long to keep the place of the tooth.

Yes, I always do. I know it's not going to prevent cavities though. But, it's more pleasant for the dentist to look at your teeth. It's easier to check for plaque when they are clean.

I had the stomach virus around December. I caught it from my dad. Then, my mom caught it after I did. It is similiar symptoms to norovirus which they have on cruise ships. But, I was at home when I got this virus. I was in bed for 4 days straight and I still didn't feel right on the 5th day....
