Is this normal?

Yep, it's just that you're particularly good at playing by ear. After you learn to read music, if you have difficulty getting a rhythm or want to know how it sounds, ask someone to play it for you and you should be able to imitate it easily. Be proud of yourself! Then practice them. Sharps go in this order: FCGDAEB. This can be put into Fat Cats Go Down Alleys Eating Bologna. Their respective keys are a half step up from the sharp (for example, E sharp is F, so a half step up would make it F sharp major) Flats go in the opposite... To start, get an idea of the division of a beat in thirds and halves (then quarters). The piccolo requires so much more air and breathing control that if you're a beginner, it's harder to last long before you start getting dizzy. Even on the flute, make sure to stop and rest if you get dizzy. You can switch to piccolo later, or if you're in a band... I started on flute, so the fingerings didn't trouble me, so good luck if this is your first instrument. How long it takes you to be able to play the sax or... The "plasma sword" that he mentioned is called the fuel rod gun. Only Grunts and Hunters can wield them.
