Answer to:
You've failed, right? Why don't you admit it?
People set up a standard and then compete with it. When they don't reach the standard, they say they have failed, or people tell them they have failed.
However, to fail is just an opinion (in my opinion). You see, what if the person/s altered the standard? Each has different expectations. What if they took them away?
If there was nothing to compare to, if there was no time, no goal, no yes...

Shop lifting when I was 16.
Ran away from police and searched by them many nights. Usually cause I was out drinking in the streets- me and my friends were not old enough to get into pubs so we'd just hang around and get drunk or stoned.

Just start with something and keep your options open. That way, you will find it easier to get employment. Give yourself things to fall back on.
Most people have to work and most do not like their work. I don't get why teachers/parents tell kids at school to do what they enjoy. I mean, who likes their job? Very few!

Hello.
Try not to think of it as 'my depression'. It's not yours unless you create it. I doubt you enjoy feeling this way!
You were on citalopram for a year. You survived, it can't be that bad! maybe you could reconsider going back on it again, even just for a while?

Dizzy!
Answer to:
how do you ask your parents for antidepressants if you have depression? if they haven't already gotten them for you.
You would need to go with your parent/s to your doctor- if you are under 16 in the UK or under 18 in US you will most likely need parental consent. Antidepressants are no quick fix for depression, they can help get rid of some of the symptoms associated with it. If you are teenager, it may be that hormone imbalances are causing you to feel this way. In any case, I would try to wait til you are...

What is the reason the United Pentecostal church puts restrictions on skirt length for women; or sleeves and shorts for men.
It is partly about control but also it's about the women not showing off too much. I find most Pentecostal groups like this want their women to look dowdy so that it knock their confidence and keeps them in order. Keep busy. Make yourself do things you can't be bothered to do.
Make yourself goals that you have to achieve by certain dates and keep track of your progress. Make a plan of how you might achieve this. By doing this it gives you a point to life, even if it's just a really silly thing you are tracking.
Don't dwell on suicidal, hopeless thoughts. When you drag a thought, it's more likely to recur.

How bout' yourself?

What do you consider heartbreaking?
That mankind used to be perfect and happy. Life was a good gift from God.
Nowadays the world is a complete mess and there is suffering everywhere we look. What's worse, we did it all to ourselves.

How important is it for you to weekly attend the religious building of your choice?
It's very important for me to weekly attend meetings with fellow believers.
Not bothered about the building. It's about building up my faith, helping one another, learning in truth, and just being where I feel safe and secure. Not at all. I do not take my stance on blood just because the Jehovah Witnesses teach it. I personally am happy to say that the Bible tells us to abstain from blood. Whether that be eating it, or taking it into your body in any other way. Blood is blood.

Sure, it's easy to stand up to people though I don't always see the point. If it's just a bad word that's been said about me, the only reason I would speak back would be to boost my kicked ego. That is easy to do and many times I have done this in the past.

I trust the Bible as God's word because when I read it, something comes alive and it's no longer just words. Answer to:
What makes you respond in angry ways to people?
I feel anger often but I don't show it outwardly. I wont use violence and never raise my voice to anyone unless they have a hearing problem or it's noisy. When insulted I ignore it or go quiet and say nothing at all. I can't be bothered talking to people when they are rude. People don't make me angry very often with the words they say to me, I've hardened to that. But the things that make me...

if you are religious, do you resolve contradictions in your religion by working through them or by glossing over them and hoping thats ok?
I'm not looking for a religion, I'm looking to get to know the Almighty God.
If I just glossed over everything I was unsure about or thought was a contradiction so that I could be in a particular religion, I wouldn't be making the effort to get to know the true God. I would be following the religion for selfish reasons.

Whats your interpretation of Revelation 21:23. And this city needs no Sun or Moon for a light the Glory of God the Lamb is the Light? What kinda city is this? Where is it? Is it better than Life? Could this city be a punishment?
“And I did not see a temple in it, for Jehovah God the Almighty is its temple, also the Lamb is. And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God lighted it up, and its lamp was the Lamb.”—Rev. 21:22, 23.

What is the meaning of the Bible expression "Lean not on your own understanding"?
Our understanding is limited. Also, we are imperfect and so many times we can misjudge things and only see a tiny bit of the picture. God sees the whole picture, he knows what is best for us. If we fully rely on Him and walk in His ways, then we are bound to benefit in the long run and bring glory to Jehovah's name.

Will I lose weight doing this
If you eat more than you burn off then you wont lose weight. Good idea to eat healthy though. You could even just start to walk instead of driving/bus. This is a good way to exercise and doesn't take too much effort to do. Stopping the soda will help because it gives you gas and makes you look bloated.

Back pain I would think.
Jesus never died on a cross-the word 'stauros' means upright pale or stake, never any mention of a cross here.
Jesus was a good example to follow, but we are imperfect and it's not as easy for us.

Jesus’ statement “my food is for me to do the will of him that sent me” takes on added meaning when we consider the time element involved. “The hour was about the sixth,” according to John 4:6, or about noontime. After trekking through the hilly country of Samaria all morning, Jesus and the disciples would be hungry and thirsty. That was why the disciples urged him to eat when they...

Sin is sin. The answer is no, it shouldn't be treated different to any other sin. I don't approve of the idea, just as I wouldn't approve of somebody leading a congregation that had committed adultery.

Many Christians argue that since one cannot disprove god and the bible then one should believe in them. By that reasoning - do those Christians also believe in The Celestial Teapot and the Flying Spaghetti Monster? If not, can you disprove either one?
I don't think that's the best of arguments.
True, you cannot disprove either one of those, but there was never a true book written about The Celestial Teapot or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
History can back the Bible, many prophecies have been fulfilled within this book and it can be backed by science, IF people would read the book properly!
Anyway, I think that gives a valid reason for...

What is a memory that brings tears to your eyes when you think about it?
Lots of memories make me feel that way, good and bad ones.
If I had to think of one at this moment then I suppose it would be when I think back to the church I used to be apart of, before I left. It makes me tearful cause I lost a lot of good friends and many other things changed for me. But I keep telling myself this was a good decision, so I try to be happy too! :-)

Yeah, sure we all get those days. Some more than others. :)
I think when this happens it means you need to change something in your life because you are not happy with it. Finding the courage to go ahead and do it though is another thing altogether. Good luck.

Did God Know That Adam and Eve Would Sin?
Not sure...
If Jehovah is all powerful and knows everything, he even knows what we are about to say before we say it, then surely he knew that Adam and Eve would sin. To say that he was not aware it would happen because he did not look into it shows a lack of power and lack of preparation, in my opinion.
This don't mean he created sin but just means he still decided to let them have free will...

Insight on the Scripures:
"Jehovah" is the best known English pronunciation of the divine name, although "Yahweh" is favored by most hebrew scholars. The oldest Hebrew manuscripts present the name in the form of four consonants, commonly called the Tetragrammaton (from Greek te tra-, meaning "four," and gram'ma, "letter"). These four letters may be transliterated into English as YHWH (or,...

If God knew how we would use our freewill, why create us if his plan is to send us to hell for doing exactly what he knew we would do?
What would be the point to our existence if we did not have free will?
The God of the bible loves you and so he gave you free will to do as you please.
You can choose to follow him if you want and avoid death.
He wont send you to a hell as in eternal punishment if you decide not to follow him- that is not biblical. You will just seize to exist.

Why do some translations add "other" in Luke 13:2,4;Matt26:35;1Cor 6:18;Matt 13:32; and some other places?
See my answer for links.
Again, it gives the sentence better understanding, right?
But it doesn't change the meaning, so I guess that's ok.
The NWT in colossians 1:16 and onwards puts other, but it does change the meaning. So it's different.

Answer to:
Why do many translations add “a” at 1Cor14:33;Acts12:22;Acts28:6;Heb 8:10 and other places? What does “a” look like in Greek?
This is the voice of god not man
This is the voice of a god, not of a man
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace
For God is not God of disorder but of peace
I guess the only reason for doing that is to give better understanding to the sentence.
It doesn't change the meaning so I don't see a problem. :)

Why do most people think every single British person has a very posh accent?
People outside of Britian tell me that all the time but when I talk to them, I try to speak clear and without accent because it is sometimes hard to undertand somebody with a strong Scots accent. So that may well be why.
It is not at all the case though. Around here, my accent is very down to earth compared to the real 'posh' ones !

If you ain't got enough carbs , the body will look elsewhere for energy to burn like fats. It will start with the heart, being the largest organ , or one of them. It's not exactly healthy to have the body using the heart as energy this way. Better to eat carbs and leave the heart alone. ;-)

Should the drinking age be lowered? How low? Why?
It is 18 to drink in the UK here.
When I was 13 I started drinking alcohol.
When you are this age or even a little older, say 13-17 you are easily fascinated with things. Alcohol was that thing for us. It was extremely easy for us to get sold as many of our older friends looked 18. By the time I was 15 I was getting sold myself in shops and bars.
Anyway, I developed a problem , I had to drink...

Yes. People will take it whether it is legal or not.
To make it legal would make things so much safer.
Also people get ripped off too much with the drugs cos they haven't got a clue what the prices should be. Maybe if it was legalized people would understand more about it and what is a more 'normal' price. I don't know..

Why do unbelievers get so mad at us Christians. It's not like we are being mean to them. We are trying to help.
Many just do not want to hear what you've got to say and want you to stay out of their lives.
Many have been hurt and grow a hatred or dislike to many religions.

All of us do think like that, it's not just some people as you say.
We all sin and we all do things out of selfishness sometimes. Tell me if I am wrong?
Christ and others, such as Paul, taught christians to love their brothers (fellow christians) and so no matter what anyone else is doing, stop looking at their lives and focus on how you live yours.

Speeds up your metabolism pretty good if it's a high enough strength.
