Answer to:
What do you think of the "Anti-Blasphemy resolution" The U.N. is trying to pass making it illegal to criticize religions, including making documentaries, papers, poems that can be seen as "defamation of religion".
I guess the US has a veto for a reason, as do several other members of the security council. The CNN source was the first alert here. The UN cannot "criminalize" anything, nor can it enforce this sort of resolution, "binding" or not. In fact, the democratic nature of the UN is what is allowing this sort of stupid discussion which, it appears the broadcaster would stifle...

Would you stay abstinent from anti psychotics if in reaction you became obese, though your mental status ensured its use
OK, so what you are asking is if a person diagnosed with psychotic tendencies should accept obesity as a side effect of drug treatment. I'd suggest not doing so would make that person crazy.... so what alternative is there? Sincerely, asking this question suggests priorities and perhaps reality are already possibly in a compromised state. Before any change in a medication regime of this...

What is the religion of god?
Had I wanted or been able to find the answers to this in scripture, I would have as I do have a copy of the Quran, as well as sciptures of other faiths. As I said, I am glad you have found truth there. Obviously, though it may be there for us all, cultural and other barriers make it easier for some to accept answers from the Quran than others. As God has extended a hand to all, regardless of...

Do you think there are life in many planets in this uneverse other than earth...and they have their prophets, Scriptures, Relegions..etc. and we will be gathered all together is the same unto God in the same palce in the day of judgement?
I think anything is possibe. We believe what we do through scripture and if we choose to use that as our only reference most of these only speak about earth and the next life. Personally, I'd rather use scripture to help me live a meaningful life and let "others" elsewhere, if they exist, focus on theirs. What is the point of speculating about what we are not likely to know...

I guess it would really depend on who you are, what you want to do, what state you are living and and what state your have the opportunity in. These are tough times and good jobs and benefits are not easy to come by. On the other hand, you live but once.

Answer to:
Do you attempt to resemble your god, or are you an embodiement of it?
Christian thought is that we are made in the image of God, but as God is not a physical being this is interpreted to mean His "spiritual" aspects usually. This would preclude our being an emBODIment of Him, though it might be accepted as meaning we are potentially a reflection of this element... as a mirror might reflect a ray of the sun. From this perspective the answer is not...

It sounds like perhaps you are ready to do some life re-examination. This can be a little depressing especially when it happens when all seems to be going well. It does help to have an objective ear to speak into as friends tend to have preconceived notions of you and what is right for you. Do psychiatrists utilize medicines to construct a brain common to their own.
They may subconsciously moderately mold someone they are treating in the shape of their personality, but this is far from using utilizing "medicine to construct a brain". Doctors should be aware enough of this that most of their efforts are towards a normative standard. Brain...

Should the Islamic christian and jewish religion be listed as a terrorist organization? they all call for killing those who leave their faith, and all contain verses when taking out of context support violence and terror so shouldn't we list all three?
Of course not because these faiths are obsessively about the acts of God, not of mankind. Listing of any or all of them as such would do more to foster such temporal reactions then stem their development. Many people have errantly done evil in the name of God. A just and moral society recognizes the difference between what is said and what is done in the name of God and what is claimed to be...

Should mine owners be required to disclose the annual amount of toxic waste produced?
In most places in the Western world they are, though the definition of what is "toxic" is sometimes up for debate. As well, with government cutbacks, many of these industries are expected to be self monitoring and self reporting. This puts an awful lot of ethical burden on...

It is more likely a consequemnce of global warming, which "started" a couple of hundred years ago after the world finished a cooling cycle. What is disturbing about this particular cyle is the speed with which it is occurring and our consciousness of it. Yes, we have contributed to it and are probably causing an increase in its severity, but we have really nothing from which to take...

That must have been both thrilling and a bit erie for you. If inflation is caused by there being more money than products, why doesn’t the government wrestle inflation by simply ordering the Bureau of Engraving & Printing to stop producing more bills and coins for a while?
As I understand it we are closer to a period of deflation than inflation. Inflation is normally handled by increasing interest rates which decreases the flow of money. Deflation is a somewhat more difficult thing to handle, particularly when the rest of the world views the USD as a currency standard. Basically deflations means "stuff" is less valuable and/or desirable (this could be...

If a parent spanks a child frequently I suspect the problem may lie more with the parent than the child. Are there are any circumstances that would justify a man beating on his woman (i.e. Chris Brown/Rihanna)?
Of course not, legally or morally. This is the case for booth spouces regardless of gender. It is not OK to beat up on people at all! Self-defence allows for the minimum amount of force to stop an assault, no more. As well, putting "his/her" into the question suggests people own spouces which is reminicent of the slave trade.... those folks did/do think beating up on people is...

Frankly, it will probably be the public purse... pay your taxes and support a person with a problem which has now allowed her to think having eight + kids is a good thing even if she cannot support herself or them. I hope the state sues the doctor who fertilized her for the costs of her and her children's medical & other costs over the next number of years

Are online tests (personality, IQ, sexuality etc.) really worth spending time on?
Many of these tests have the same basis as those you would take in person. Usually the results need to be interpreted by someone who understands the inter-relationships between questions, evnironment, culute and other variables. Your question is like asking "Is it OK to drive fast". The answer is certainly, sometimes, but make sure your seatbelt is fastened, your car is safe and...

If you have not got it by now.... what they are trying to teach you is unquestioned respect/obediance for authority, regardless of how idiotic the source. If you have made the mistake of believing that you are somehow outside of the sphere of this authority by belittling it, well, time for part II of the lesson. Basic is about towing the line and not thinking. Once through it, fear not, you...

What is Evolution? Is it proven?
How can evolution be proved anymore than God? Both entail a certain amount of belief and faith, but unlike a belief in God, science can show with a high degree of certainty that the earth is at least as old as it claims. Beyond what can be shown using scientific method there are theories (e.g. missing link) which are based on deducing likelihoods from what is known. Beyond this comes...

There has been much study done on this. Habitually late people are often seen as disorganized and disrespectful. It may be proof, but probably not admisable in a court unless you are willing to take the chance of being charged for breaking the law regarding taping a conversation without permission or knowledge of the other party. You can do this casually as I understand it, but not for purposes of proof (understanding based on recent NY CSI show)

In order to sign a lease or other legal document you will have to have reached the age of majority in your state. This may be 18 or 21. In leu of this you may be able to have someone appointed as your guardian, but this will likely require that your parent surrender this responsibility in family court. It is not something the court or your family will likely take lightly. Alternatively you...

Would humans effectively eliminate most emotions given sufficient rationality? In other words, if humans became highly rational creatures, would we become less emotional?
Your assumption is that emotions are thought based and controlled. It is well established that there are direct physiological/emotional relationships which occur beneath our conscious thoughts. Yes, probably so.
No one likes to hurt someone who has not angered them

Are you strong enough to just give up and walk away from anything you once loved?
There is much poetry written about this sort of thing.
I left my home once so that my ex-wife could move without seeing my tears.
She no longer loved me.

I have stopped doing things for myself.
Because I gave up loving and no longer care.

I don't know for sure, but perhaps it is because people react spontaneously and to peer pressure with humor, especially if they are in a paid venue for that purpose. Implicit in this statement: "Moral values crumble and are replaced by new avant-garde ideas and values" is the idea that avant-garde (new & innovative) ideas are drug related. Why do atheists get so mad and offensive when a true Christian, not a hypocrit that's going to get mad and rude with them, questions their beliefs and tries to lead them in the right direction?
I suspect because the "true Christian" is assuming they know what is "right" for someone other than themselves. Belief is subjective by its very nature. Assuming that what is right for you is right for others automatically creates a power struggle, even if your intention is good. Just as you try and do the "right" thing, so too do others, especially when it...

My brother lives in CA and got into a 3-car accident last Nov in LA and did not report the accident to DMV. License will be suspended for 1 yr. Would someone kindly advice as to what to do next as he needs to drive to and from work? Thanks!
It is called consequences. This did not just happen out of the blue and was part of a due process. If he did not attend court or otherwise respond to orders to appear, things proceed without him.... and if he has said nothing, then the system has no option but to believe the other complainants or witnesses. Doesn't that make sense? If he now wants to do something he does have a 30 day...

What's the crappiest way someone has said "I'm sorry." to you?
"I am sorry, I cannot do this relationship" over a cell phone after my 30' boat had just about sunk from under me. Up until then everything had been fine and getting better. It has nothing to do with the boat or event, or me apparently... and she never did explain. I guess it was better that it happened 6 weeks into the relationship than 6 months or 6 years.

What's the most confused you have ever been?
Honestly? This was when the woman who professed undying love for me changed her mind, left the marriage and then changed her mind, and then changed it back again. I already had trust "issues" and this sure added to them. Sure, I know in my head that it is mostly her stuff and not mine, but this sort of thing is seldom stuff figured out in the head.

Should the government be involved in politics?
I suspect this question should have included the word "partisan" (party based) politics. The nature of democratic government necessitates politics. The only governments in the Western world that see to work without partsan politics are some...

Is a kiss (smooch) make girl pregnent? Is it affect on date(periods)?
Perhaps you start making these sort of life decisions you need to find someone to close to confide in and get straight answers. A school nurse might help. Ministration is not always regular. Sometimes tension, stress and even physical exertion can cause changes. To get pregnant sperm has to find a way inside. Kissing is not one of them, no matter what kind of kiss. Do you mean "...does wounding...."?
Police are allowed by law to use the minimum amount of force required to bring a suspect and/or an arrested person under control. This can include lethal force. The discretion is theirs. If you feel they exceeded the force required and you were injured as a direct consequence you can make a complaint. I suggest you photograph the injuries and...

Does anyone know where the last name of Parkerson originates & do you know any?
You may think this stupid, but if you break the name down, it may explain itself. Names with Scandinavian origins often use "son" to indicate the person be the son of the father. If the father was a Parker (e.g. of wagons) his son would be Parkerson. Parker could also have been the given name. I do not know when the surname became fixed, but suspect it was as people became more...

The best policy is to read and reread your question to make sure what you are saying makes some sort of sense and. above all that it is a question and one that can be answered. It is a one step at a time process. It is important to pull what you can from your history to show that at one time things were different. This might include letters of reference and a resume. It might not hurt to change locations to one where there is more opportunity, though these days that may be hard to find. The job/place to live catch 22 is really hard to resolve.... can't get a...
Answer to:
What do you mean by soul, how it looks like in a person?
From a scientific standpoint the soul can not be proven to exist. I cannot be seen or felt or otherwise sensed by methods that are measurable or otherwise verifiable. Some people suggest that there is an electromagnetic field around the body which represents this, however it is not consistent between people. Others can see "auras" of different colours around people, but again not...

Do people who hate love the people who hate them?
Hate and love are both subjective emmotional experiences, not necessarily of the conscious mind. Someone who says they "hate love" may be referring to a particular type of love or even a person. They may feel intense hatred for someone they love or loved which some would suggest means that they are still in the throws of love. Lastly, talking about this sort of thing does not...

Jesus is walking down the street and meets a homosexual. What happens next?
Why would you think He's have a problem with him or her? Better yet, how do you think he'd know the person's orientation (e.g. He knew/knows all.)? Not all Christians have a problem with homosexuals. Most are taught that they are to love all regardless of their "problems". Some churches accept practicing homsexuals, including clergy. Biblical references to...

I have been asked to attend a buddist templ with a young women. what should i wear? should i do anything specific while there? i know the faith well enough but have no clue about "procedure" while there. this is not a specific service.
Probably loose fitting clothes that are modest as you may end up sitting on the floor and slip on shoes as often you are asked to remove them at the door. These are usually not highly formal places as it is what is within that is important to most members of this faith.

I hope you have taken a long enough breather. Some say it take one year of recovery for every three you were married. Lots of stuff gets burried, including your ability to trust your own perceptions. For example, you just don't let yourself go there because under all of your stuff is a great fear of being vulnerable. I have done the D thing twice in ten years and am still figuring I am...

Why is it when a white women goes out with black men people put them down, and treat them like a dog?
I suspect because she is hanging around with people who have those attitudes and want to dominate her. I doubt that this is all about race, though race is the easiest thing for people like this to point at. Black women going out with white men have also had this sort of issue, again probably as much because of weak people wanting to get an edge over them as anything

If you want to be an MD, college is probably a good start. If you want to run a fast food outlet, college might be less useful. Should I let my girlfriend keep smoking cigarettes..we just started dating and I have never dated a smoker before this/
I do not think it your place to "let" or not "let" her do anything. If she is old enough to date she is old enough to make her own choices. If she is unattractive to you when she smokes, tell her so and then make up your own mind as to if the pros and cons of her other characteristics and behaviors out weigh the smoking. Making her change will only lead in an unhealthy...

Yes, it is legal but probably not too wise in this climate. Sometimes you cannot even give away your problems. At the point you begin to understand that inhaling filter residue (chemicals & fibergalss+), nicotine and tar into your lungs cannot be good for you, even though itmay feel good in the short term. Maybe your Dad had better reconsider if he wants to be married period, let alone to her. It sounds like you know too much about him. We cannot be the reason for someone's sadness as it is, remarkably, something one chooses, though seldom consciously. What we see on others in this way is what we suspect or empathize is within. Sadness, like all emotion is subjective. It is not...

With that said, now at 55, I have been self employed for many years and have many choices my former colleagues might envy and do not have the high blood pressure and subordinates continuing to look for ways to get around or through me to the next level. Life has a way...

Unfortunately both of mine are limited to old tech... dial-up and antenna due to my rural location. If I had to make a choice it would be to keep the www as it is interactive, where the TV is just a vacuum at this point (but times ("with tech) they are a changing!")

Are you racist? If so, why do you think you're that way?
I notice race, so I suppoose that to a small degree I am racist. Some would have it that if you treat people equally you are not. Practically speaking they are right, but really if you notice, you are reacting in a primal way. We look for those like us instinctually as I understand it. I register a person's race and try to not lump them with others who I have met or observed like...

like wearing shorts has.
As well as the kilt there are Arabic garbs that cloth men, though I suspect they might be more like dresses. Many Eastern monks do not wear pants either. Some of the traditional male African tribal clothing is also skirt like. It is a matter of where you are with respect to who wears the pants.

In most jurisdictions this is covered in a legal separation or divorce decree. Here the norm is that a child over the age of 16 is eligible to be supported while they are in school on a full-time basis. The payment is usual made to the custodial parent by the other parent and is based on their income. There are schedules based on wages which establish the amount based on the parents income....

Answer to:
What is your view of the Isreal/Hamas conflict?
It is horrendously sad for all concerned. That innocents are dying is wrong according to both Islam and Judaism. That politics is superceding spiritual guidance is not surprising. The answer to this question will likely not come from a truce, though it may start there. It cannot be done by assuaging egos and satisfying security requirements, because the injuries are too deep, yet somehow...

There are all sorts of reasons people find themselves attracted to others they are not married to. Try exploring what they are before you jump into the fire of this sort of tryst which causes all pain, not just you and her. If you do not deal with them now they are very likely to surface again and again in your life... as perhaps they have in the past. This does stuff NEVER ends well,...

I suspect it will take a longer time than it took GWB, but who knows, the pot is already boiling and he is an untried cook. You risk being an "in-law" problem if you do not allow them to work this out. You might have experienced something like this yourself and if so, know it is not comfortable. As said elsewhere, he has his own family beyond yours right now and probably needs to learn to work this out with it. I do not think you want to enable your son's dependance on you emotionally or otherwise.

Why does war exist?
It is used when emotions take over from reason on one side or another or both. It exists as a testament to our animal instincts and the latent belief that that with might and dominance comes survival. It is usually predicated as a short term solution/reaction to a problem which appears otherwise unsolvable. It seldom yields long term peace as this must be based on our higher abilities such...

Perhasp get some really strong smelling stuff like ode d' skunk and wear it with a smile or share it with them when in their vacinity and say thanks when alternatives are offered. Bullies seldom continue when they see their taunts bringing joy over pain. Others may understand and bear with you and perhaps share the smile.

Yes, particularly the emotional kind. Often this sort of pain manifests itself in ways that do not seem emotional, most frequently in obsessive behaviours and health issues (e.g. physical pain). Lots of people experiencing this say they feel numb emotionally.

If you found out your best friend in the whole world cheated on someone, would you automatically disown him or her (no questions asked)?
"Cheating" is often a sign of other unresolved personal issues (not all of which involve partners) and these are seldom resolved without the help of true friends. Repeated cheating should not be encouraged by way of the support offered as it often a way people use to make their lives more complex in order to avoid simple, less well defined issues.

Get a new father?
Really, at some point we have to look at what is best for us and let the "folks" do what is best for them. Not always will these align. Sometimes parents will adjust their perspectives just to accomodate their child and in the process learn that their original position was wrong. I hope this is the case for your father and that your relationship is as full and...

It appears you are caught between a rock and a hard place. If you are living with your parents, it makes sense that they as parents and landlords can set rules for you while under their roof, even if these do not appear to respect your choices. As an adult you have the option to get your own roof and set your own rules. You may have to decide what is more important, them or him; the roof or...

Does a government agency intervene when a homeowner's association that is incorporated cannot get enough volunteer board members to continue functioning.
If the association is incorporated as a non-profit society or other legal entity, it will have annual reporting responsibilities to government which, if not met will result in certain actions being taken. These may include surrendering the assets of the legal entity for distribution amongst the membership and perhaps penalties for the last set of officers of the body if this is not done....

Some would have it that we are of God, while others might say that God is in us, accepted or known or not. Sometimes (often?) when people of non-Arabic descent convert to Islam, they adopt Arabic names. Is this practice typically just encouraged by a friend or two (if even that), or sometimes (or often) recommended by their mullahs, or what?
In Christian cultures folks are frequently named after Bible characters, including Jesus in Latin areas. Likewise in Islamic culture there is a tendency to recyle the names of famous folks from the formative years of this faith. A new convert may adopt a new name to show his/her rebirth to those around him and to help him integrate into what is sometimes a relatively insular Islamic...

What an ayatullah may require of his followers is between him and them and not a law that pertains to Muslims outside of that group. With the separation of church and state the process of government became more democratic. The outlawing of some...

It would certainly depend on the person. We all bring stuff with us into relationships, even though we might think we are not, or that we are in control of it. Can i as a british citizen drive a rental car from istanbul, Turkey, all the way though Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and back again.
Usually you cannot cross international borders with a rental car. The company risks loosing jurisdiction over its property once it leave the place where it was titled. The EU allows this, but the countries you are going to travel through are not members. This is even the case between the USA and Canada. First class buses work well between major cities in most places. It usually cheaper to...
Answer to:
If someone asks you if you would like to donate blood, what do you say?
I'd say that in North America we need to rethink our donor strategies. Since I travelled to Latin America they will not take my blood, even for use on Latin Americans who may have been as exposed as I have been to Malaria (minimally). I understand they are being extra careful, but surely the mass production of blood through donor blood banks can be adapted to have an A and B stream.

Answer to:
Why do people who are completely ignorant of Islam hate it so much?
It is not unlike the fear and hatred of some Muslims towards Christians and Jews we in the West hear about. Much of it is hype and politically motivated, as the other answerer stated, based in fear, ignorance and misinformation. Muslims are told in the Quran how to deal with Christians and Jews (e.g. tolerantly), however Christians do not receive any such directions because, of course Islam...

Did you know that even women, not only men, of the Sikh religion, are required to tie a turban?
My understanding is the only men pursuing a priesthood designation wear the turbans and go without cutting their hair. This is why you will meet lots of Sikhs in good standing who do not wear them. I am not sure if women can obtain the priest designation, or if they can that this is required of them. Women and men are in my understanding equal before God in this faith, so there may be a...

Is it true that the movie "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" was filmed at the Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses and that they used members of the govern body as the mental patients in the movie?
Probably not... the idea that it might have could, however have come from one of the former residents of the nest. It sounds like one of those urban myths. You can probably find a difinitive answer at one of the www sites dedicated to this movie or movie memroabilia
Answer to:
I just recieved 19.th. plain indian dresses, howcome Crow-women didn't wear buckskin as traditional dresses?
Crow women of the mid 19th century were already under heavy cultural influence from mainstream American society. What you might have received would have at best glass beading and is perhaps made of some other hide. The styling might have been traditional, but the materials were adaptive due to the depletion of buffalo herds. If it is made out of cloth, it is likely that the material was...

Answer to:
Was the "rod" used in new testament or was the use of that abolished at Jesus death?
I presume you are asking this question as a Christian in the West. Other Christians may use a different Bible (e.g. not King James II.... example Coptic Bible) and understand Christ to have said different things than we do. The simplest answer would be that if this was done after Christ's "death", it was probably a church made rule, not one made by Christ. It may well be in...

Answer to:
Could a total global economic collapse in itself cause catastrophic human dieback, and if so to what extent?
It probably would contribute to the rampant starvation, disease and warfare already caused by economic disparities. In a way it would exacerbate what has been occurring and probably has always occurred. In the West and other "first" world countries we tend to ignore the fact that most of the world's population lives on the edge of poverty or in it. These people live hand to...

I always have to rub my wifes back before sex to get her into it, she never initiates and I'm frustrated feeling she has no passion for me or primal desire for sex with me. She gives oral(rarely) to shut me up but complains while shes doing it.
So what is your question? It sounds like you and she have a bit of a communications problem, not untypical, but still an issue. For example, have you thought that she now figures every time you give her a message that you want sex? Try turning that around and not having sex afterwards. She might think you are not interested then and try and change that. She might not too... and just be...
Answer to:
How can I find my court date?
The clerk of the court will have it based on your ticket or notice to appear number. If you do not have these and are the one charged, the clerk should be able to reference your information based on your name and birth date. The police department at the precinct level may also have a record as the officer may be scheduled to appear, but they would be a last resort.
Most jurisdictions should...

Answer to:
It is normal practice to keep the trash or garbage can inside of a closet or pantry, or should it be left out in the open?
It makes the most sense to get the wet and smelly stuff out of the way and into someplace out of the normal airflow, eye view and fly path. The rest is a matter of astetics. A wastepaper basket has a place in the open, but might not look too well placed on top of the desk.

Should women ask men out or wait until the man asks her out?
What do we think? Should a woman ask a man out or wait and let him make the first move?
It sure feels nice when they do. It is a switch in the traditional roles, but just as it must be a bit of a buzz for a woman to know that she is of interest to someone, so too is it for a guy.
Answer to:
Do you really think the auto bailout is necessary?
Not if we are living in a free market based society, but we have not ever been, so I guess it is probably necessary. If these companies are out and out allowed fail the impact reverberates far beyond the one industry, just as this mortgage crisis had implications for the whole system. I think what will probably happen is that Toyota and Hyundai and maybe Mercedes will gradually take things...

A while back I asked what you would do if someone's anger was aimed at you. This question was spammed. I still want to know how people deal with anger directed at them, so I'll try again. (IS this a spammy topic?)
Anger is a hard one to deal with as the natural instinctual response is defense. Many of our defensive reactions are in turn offensive (eg. anger). Something I have been working on is I believe based in the marshal arts. It basically involves not absorbing your opponents energy, but rather allowing it to dissipate with as little direct contact as possible. In a fight this would be ducking...

Can you divide EVERY living person in the world into 2 distinct groups with no grey areas?
Why would you want to divide us further than we already are? Each and everyone one of us is distinct. To me it seems our quests in this life have to do with finding our commonness with one another as our differences are obvious, be it simple things like gender, race, age, ethnicity, language, education, politics or more complex issues such as physical, intellectual and spiritual health. If...

When your all alone' an you realize that you lost everything that you loved, how do you keep going? what can i do to fill the empty void?
Hey bud, done it twice and it sucks. The first thing for me was to acknowledge that with some tears and raging (safe to do it on a mountain top or deserted beach). For guys this is often the most vulnerable they will ever feel... those that they have given the most to seem to have taken it apparently without second thought. To me it felt like I was about to collapse in on myself because I...

What is your best travel advice?
Pack light.... saves all sorts of hassels around collecting baggage and missing connecting flights. My friend and I just went to Latin America for 6 weeks. She carried all she needed in a carry-on pack. I will do the same next time. It involves lots of compression, but it can be done. 8 pair of undies fits in a plastic quart jar, most cosmetics come in small travel sizes, small packs...

How do you get a former employers tax id number without a w2 form?
You might find it buried in the company's www site if they do any international shipping. You might also try contacting another employee. It is a nominally confidential number which you will not get out of government, just as you will not get someone's bank account number out of a bank even though it is printed on every check.
Answer to:
I am sick and tired of my mothers nosey and imposing loud sister bossing me around and telling me what to wear, whats a good drop dead inult to fick in her face to shut her mouth?
Some folks do this because they do not feel heard or listened to.... they develop a compulsive tendency to spout off about everything to people they feel "should" abide them. As in marshal arts, sometimes the best way of dealing with the threat is not to oppose it, but to go with it and let its energy be consumed by itself, rather than absorbed by you (e.g. gettting in her face)....
Answer to:
What type of metal is used on the end of the pencils to hold the eraser
I believe it is often zinc coated tin. It will depend on many things, especially if the pencil is made in China (they might use depleted uranium or recycled plastic... whatever is cheaper).... not sure I would want to chew on the end of one of these as I often did before the age of keyboards.

Can you explain the Bahai (sp?) faith to me in a nutshell--i know hard to do? LOL
There is plenty of info at Bahai.org
The Baha'i Faith was founded in the 18th century in what is now Iran. Bahaullah was exiled and after passing through Iraq and Turkey, eventually ended up in the area of Haifa, Palestine. It's world center is now located in Haifa, Israel. Next to the Catholic Faith, it has the most ethnically and racially diverse population base of any of the...

Do buddhists believe in a god? Can you tell me a little bit about the religion?
As I understand it Buddhism has several sects, some of which acknowledge an essence beyond us, many of which just do not comment on the concept of God. Some followers obviously (from above) interprete this to mean in "pure" Buddhism that there is no God. For those that accept some sort of essence beyond, it is likely tolerant and accepting, rather than controlling; more focused on...
