You should really get fitted by a professional pointe shoe fitter. However, you might want to try Grishko 2007s. I've never personally tried them, but I hear they're wonderful on a lot of different feet and they have sort of high vamps with tapered boxes.

Definitely find a good teacher. It is worth it in the long run if you sing a lot. Good technique can save you from a lot of vocal damage down the road. Learn to breathe properly, from your diaphragm. It's really important!

By far the most expensive pair of shoes that I have ever bought were an $83 pair of pointe shoes. Pointe shoes tend to be quite expensive, but they are handmade, and these particular ones were imported from Russia. They were the ones that fit my feet the best, which is really important.

After a while, many dancers do get pretty messed up feet. It is so important for young dancers to take good care of their feet to decrease the likelihood of injury. But, eventually, many dancers will develop feet problems.

I think that is probably more normal than you might think. I am somewhat the same. Why do young children often unabashedly sing and dance around, when adults are much less likely to do the same? I think that once you get older, you are more aware of other people and their judgements. You don't...

How good are your dance moves?

It depends what kind of dance we're talking. Hip hop, breakdancing, or other such disciplines- laughable. Classical ballet- pretty good. I've always just been kind of light on my feet, and never quite had the "edge" required to do much besides ballet.

Pointe shoes makes the ladies look like they're floating, and gives them an etherial look. They make you feel beautiful and graceful, not to mention tall! However, they are REALLY painful. Oh well. No pain, no gain!

I'm afraid there is no easy way that I know of. Stretch, stretch, stretch! You can sit on the floor with your legs spread apart as far as they'll go, and then reach to the front (try to get your head to the floor) and sides (towards both legs).
