My suggestion is a girl although boys are fun too! I have had fun names for my animals from Kid Dee, Rewind (birth defect), Rocket (overachiever), and Sweetness (because that's exactly what she is). I opt for non-human names but you can decide that once you learn a bit about it's personality. OH! Had one named Spazzo years ago too!

Absolutely. Those have been some of my strongest relationships to date.

Can we still give points on AB or is that a thing of the past? if so, how??
The option's no longer there. It appears that hitting the 'Like' button is the only option. I guess depending on your level determines how many points are awarded when the Like option is chosen. Sound logical? That's all that I can figure out that makes sense because the points are still associated when you click on a profile.

That was a very popular technique done for years so your Mom may be right if that's all she's heard. Talk to her. Doctors now review the chemical side of things and may still put patients through exercises to help deal with situations - which may end up being a relationship with a parent. You need her support and the only way to get to her is through communication and helping her...

What in your opinion is harder to deal with Emotional/Verbal abuse or Physical (non sexual) Abuse?
I would say that emotional lasts longer. Once the bruises are gone your mind has an amazing way of protecting us. With the verbal, it hangs on forever. Even now, I perpetuate things by saying the same things to myself that I heard when young. I would believe that this answer could go either way depending on one's own personal circumstances.

My friends boyfriend just broke up with her today. What can I do, and mostly what should I say to help her. I told her that the best thing to help get over it is just keep yourself busy and distracted, but she said she can't think about anything else.
I feel for her and when it's so fresh, it hurts the most. Time will help but in the meantime, just be that shoulder to lean on and that ear to listen to her. Get her out of the house and go do things...especially on the weekend. Good luck.

If I call my bank and ask them to erase a charge that I don't want my boyfriend to see on my statement, can/will they do it? I don't want the money back, I just don't want him to see what I bought him for her birthday?
No. It's not possible. Removing any line item from a bank statement would affect the running balance and that statement is also your 'statement of record'. You could change your address to have your statement go to a relatives for that cycle to keep it out of your home mail box and then change it back later.

My boyfriend recently found out that I cheated on him over the summer. I want our relationship to go back to normal but I know it won't. Will he ever truly forgive me? He says that he still loves me but I'm so worried...
If you really love him, then come clean about it and it sounds like he found out about it from someone other than you. The only solution is time and allowing him to question you and your actions. He must love you because he's still with you so there can be a future. Your part must be patience with him and to reassure him that you won't do it again if you're really invested.

You chose her as your partner so I'm assuming the best stance would be to find out 'why' but that's a tricky one because it doesn't seem like she wants to welcome your family if she's like that with more than just one family member. Just talking about it and trying to remove anger to find out why. Good luck!

If you needed a baby sitter in a hurry and the only person available is a stripper/pole dancer, would you allow this person to babysit your small children?
Their profession (except a drug dealer) would not influence that decision. It would depend on how well I knew that person, any person, that I would trust with the care and safety of a child. The people that may come and go could be a factor as well.

I'm not sure that is what all think. We are asked a question and answer from experience so it is our fact based on what we know. That's the reason for 'difference of opinion' and what makes it so interesting to see the various responses and what people think. That, from my own perspective, is what makes the answers worth reading.

I have trouble handling multiple accounts in multiple banks. It’s tough to keep an eye on every account balance. It has taken a toll on my payment mode and I end up paying additional charges or late fees. How do I manage this?
Keep a transactional account at one financial institution and set up bill pay and automatic payments from only one account. Keep your liquid cash close at hand so transfers are easy and those accounts can be set up to overdraft from in case you run into unaccounted for 'surprises'. Keep the other FIs for your investments and accounts that are harder to get to or not as convenient....

I was forced to retire, have been trying to get 401k money for 2 month. The HR depa. says it was sent to bank as a direct rool over. Bank says it has never received any funds.
Request a copy of the cancelled check to determine the endorsement. If the check was never issued you will get your answer when a check copy is not able to be supplied. If you get the copy, it will help the receiving bank determine if another account was credited with your funds. Good luck.
Answer to:
What is your definition of great customer service?
Impressionable...the kind that makes you want to ask and remember their name so the next time you visit, you can ask for them personally.
Answer to:
Have you ever had a really rude customer, if so how did you handle it?
Fortunately it was over the phone and I had to put them on hold so I wouldn't get pulled into the argument they were determined to have - profanities were prominent. After a minute I got back on the phone and told them I was willing to do all I could to help them if we worked together but if the conversation continued the way it was previously, I would be forced to disconnect the phone...
Answer to:
Bad customer service. Do you call it to the attention of the person who is rude, report it to their manager or supervisor, or do nothing at all?
If it's not provoked by anyone in my party, then I would call in later and talk to the manager. If it ruined the outing, I likely would not bother and wouldn't return. Customer service can make or break an evening for many people. Of course, GREAT customer service gets the same action! Call to the manager and/or an oversized tip.

Of course, if the problem is that you cannot stand someone, avoiding is the best solution. But I have not found that avoiding something is the right solution for me. It's worked best for me to at least discuss and "agree to disagree" even if opinions are still on the opposite sides of the fence after the discussion.

Hypothetical situation: While driving, you hit someone on the road and that person died. S/he was not supposed to cross the road in the first place, the light was green (for you) and it was not the proper place to cross the road. Would you feel guilty?
I would feel tremendously bad because another human being's life was lost. It doesn't seem that there was anything from the driver's point of view that could have prevented the tragic accident. I think I would feel horrible rather than guilt and would come to that conclusion after speaking with a professional.

Good point. I don't know and don't understand it. I think that seeing that pile of cigarette butts in the parking lot always surprises me. The butts are collected at the time (not thrown out the window) and then emptied in a parking lot with a dumpster usually close by. Things that make you go, "hmmmmmm".

If they're married, it seems like they both should be spending too much time at your house. For some reason she's not with him and that might be the cause for her anger. I HAD TWO CATS. FEMALE AND MALE. THE MALE PAST AWAY A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. SO I JUST RECENTLY PICKEDUP A STRAY CAT AND BROUGHT IT HOME SO THE FEMALE CAN HAVE A COMPANION WHEN I'M GONE, BUT ALL SHE DOES IS HISS AT HIM. HE WANTS TO GET NEAR HER. HELP
I think it just takes time for animals. There has to be time for the alpha to be established. Usually it's the cat the ruled the house before the new addition came in but not always. I think they're going to be okay in the long run but I'm sure it's insane until that happens...especially from the human's perspective!

For me, the amount of hours don't seem to alter the time that I wake up. I do sometimes go back to sleep on non-work days though.

It sounds to me like a man that knows what he wants (or doesn't want) and doesn't have a label. Free spirited or just living life the way he sees it. One that wouldn't pressure some unwilling gal into a marriage. No harm, no foul...as long as he's upfront about it, it's all good.

If it's specifically around the ear area then it sounds like it's ear cleaning time. If on other parts of the body then it could be an allergy or a plethora of other things. A visit to the vet might be best. Many vets will give you the ear cleaning supplies so when it happens again you'll be all set without going back.

This question is about feelings... How would you feel if you put everything that is in you to do your job, you do your best, and people do notice and show appreciation; but suddenly, it turns around and your best is not enough?
Personally, I would not feel good because my success at work heavily impacts my opinion of myself. Please understand that some employers have a talent for seeing someone that has 'more potential' and you may just be one they have higher expectations so they could be pushing you to do better. If not, you can take the experience you're gaining and use that skill in pursuing a job...

What is the average time people date before they get engaged, i know there is a wide spectrum on this but usually how long do you think people should date before considering getting married?
Every couple is so different! I have friends that flew to Vegas after a week of dating and married and are still flourishing and another couple that dated 10 years before tying the knot. I think it all depends on the couple and what time is right for them.

Is a bird heavy enough that it could commit suicide by flying really high in the air and stopping then dropping?
Yes but I think an animal's natural instincts would prevent it from doing it consciously.

This guy wants to go out with me, but I don't feel anything for him or for any other guy for that matter (and no I don't like girls) what do you think is wrong with me?
Nothing! You're doing great by not just doing what others want you to do and doing what YOU want to do. Maybe right now, that's not a high priority for you and that's just fine. Do what you want when you're ready. Good for you!
