What's something I can throw in oatmeal besides raisins to mask the taste and make it less gluey? Sliced or diced peaches are good...but add the room temperature fruit after the oatmeal is cook, not during. That should cut down on the "gluiness". And, as others have recommended, brown sugar improves the flavor. I always add a generous pat of butter, as well. So, sue me, already, I'm not a healthfreak! :-)

My Partner and Best Friend of 37 years, Charlie, who passed away in late 2009 consequent to complications of Alzheimer's disease. Sadly, his final ten years were stolen by that disease. Garbage, on the other hand, is discarded by means of a garbage disposal, which is ground up and flushed through the drainage system. Most all Florida condos do the same.
