About me: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A GOOD LIFE

* Have an ear for everyone
* Always tear toilet paper into sections before using it
* Air your bedroom every day for at least 30 minutes
* Expose your duvet/comforter to cold air & bright light each day (if possible) for a minimum of 30 mins, but preferably for 1 hour or more. This kills bed bugs, mites and bed lice that live in *everyone's* bedding (vacuum your mattress each week too for the same reason).
* Take your spouse or girl/boyfriend out to dinner on a Tuesday for no additional reason
* Make your razor last indefinitely. Start with a new razor. After use, rinse with hot water and then dry blades with tissue paper. Blow dry blades for 30 seconds or so and then wrap up the razor in something like a facecloth. Put it away in a place were light & moisture doesn't reach it (a bathroom draw is perfect). Your razor will last for years.
* Everyone has a story, if you are willing to listen
* Most people and things have merit, if you look carefully
* Treat everyone the same best way regardless of who they are or what they can "do or get" for you
* After showering with hot/warm water, rinse for a minute or so with cold water. This helps with circulation and boosts your immune system
* Apply vaseline around your fridge door seal (clean it first). This will give it a tighter seal, keeps your food fresher/colder and allow you to reduce the temperature and thus, save money.
* Floss your teeth every day, without fail. Improves your immune system.
* Cut down on bad carbohydrates, as many carbohydrates and excessive consumption of all of them raise your blood sugar, which leads to hunger and which can lead to a downward spiral of hunger and over-eating, leading to obesity
* Check your poo from time to time - it should be regular brown in color
* Polish your shoes
* There are very few female only or male only things in the world
* Eat garlic at least 3 times a week
* Always be ready to question everything
* There is ALWAYS a silver lining on every cloud
* Don't assume or expect anything when negotiating
* Don't excuse bad/unacceptable behavior because its from family
* Even in the ordinary, regular, ubiquitous and every day stuff of life, there is wonder, interest and beauty - we just have to notice it.
* Don't use or try to change anyone
* When one door closes, look for the door that has opened
* Be good to yourself and don't take advantage of those in need
* Think about what you can give instead of what you can take or be given
* Do it now if you really want it done.
* The greatest things you can ever achieve is to learn who you are, accept yourself and be true to yourself
* There is beauty in almost all things, if you look for it
