take out the common factors. what can go into each term? t and 5. you can't divide when there is a zero on the other side and something raised to a power on the first side. instead, you simply factor: 5t(t-2)=0
one of those factors must equal 0, therefore either 5t=0 or (t-2)=0
now you can divide by 5 to get t=0
or
add 2 to get t=2
t= 0 or 2
