Typical. When America is attacked anywhere we pin blame on the opposing political party. Very grownup, effective solution. Right?
Most Americans are not very informed and believe everything they hear. So it's no surprise that activists seize on this to gain political points. It's not limited to political parties either. The grass is always greener where the "other" guy is from. Being in office means you have a target on your back. You get to assume the blame for anything that is wrong in the world. So factor in a massive recession and a couple of wars and you can see why the incumbents catch all the blame.

If we deported all illegal immigrants, therefore freeing up jobs for US citizens, how much to you think that would help the state of our economy?
Not at all, in fact, it would hurt the economy.
Illegal immigrants aren't taking cream-of-the-crop jobs. They are taking the jobs that Americans don't want. They work for horrible pay, no benefits and pay taxes into the system (through purchases) and don't get any of the benefits.
Americans don't want to work the kitchen at Burger King. That's why there ever were...

Will the Muslims eventually take over Europe and establish a Muslim dictatorship? That seems to be what is going on in the UK right now. Every day Muslims immigrate here and are slowly gaining political influence.
In any country, the more immigration you have of an ethnic group, the more power they will gain. As they become a major part of the population, they will gain political power. We see it with hispanics in the U.S.
This is not necessarily a bad thing and I don't think you have anything to worry about as this generation of immigrants probably won't get into office. The next few...

Sad that an entire political party can fail to see the big picture. Searching for a needle-in-a-haystack to find ammo for their empty guns has become the norm.
They can't wait for the stimulus money to actually be used before they deem it a failure because they might be wrong and not be able to convince anyone of their BS.

In my home, I want/deserve my privacy. In public, I accept the fact that someone could be watching. Therefore, I avoid activities in public that might get me into trouble. So adding cameras that cover every square inch of the city will not change my behavior at all. All it will do is make me feel safer.
So yes, bring on the cameras.

Every time someone asks a question about Barack Obama and his job rating, the answer always seems to be, it's too soon. When will it be time to ask?
When he is finally doing a bad job. Think, why would conservatives want to talk about the positives of Obama? They need constant negativity about him. If they can''t create negativity out of thin air (which they usually find a way to do), they will just try to discredit the positive things about him until they can find something to go off of.
It's ignorance at it's worst.

Is this another piece of evidence that Al Gore was right about global warming? SEE LINK
No, it's evidence that you have issues on deciding what is relevant. A frost watch in June means nothing. Just because there is a mean temperature in any given place doesn't mean that there won't be some variation in weather patterns. I guess you are mistaking temperature highs and lows for temperature averages...

Do you generally side with the Democrats or Republicans on the issue of Global Warming?
Well I side with the democrats only because the actually ADMIT that global warming is real, humans play a role, and they are making some attempts to adjust for climate change.
Other than that, I side with the climatologists who have studied climate change for years.

I think the popular party goes in trends. When the young voters make a shift, you see a long period of dominance that follows.

Why is it that most Republicans say we don't need more government control, but in the same breath say that the government should control who you can or can not marry or what a woman can do with her body?
Two things the Republicans are trying to do here:
1. Protect their values of small government.
2. Protect their votes from die-hard Christians.
You see a legitimate core value conflicting with the values of their voters. It's the hypocrisy of politics.

Stimulus packages are to give incentive to ,to stimulate..stimulate WHO?incentive to WHO? us , to give jobs to so we can PAY FOR the stimulus"s given?...come on !! we pay for this!! any comments?
Stimulus packages are made to stimulate the economy either through job creation, tax cuts, or straight tax rebates. The thought is that they are an investment. By handing out X amount of dollars to the people to spend in our economy would generate more income to businesses which would then be taxed by the government in the hopes that the government would spend less(through stimulus) than gained...

What do you think of a person that supports something that has claimed over 30 million lives and wants to keep it going
I think this person is probably a smoker, someone who does or has used drugs, including alcohol, someone who has ever supported a war, or the death penalty.
All those have claimed lives that extend out of a womb. So before I worry about what goes on in a woman's body, I'll worry about the lives that are already in progress now.

Answer to:
The more I read the "pro life" stand that abortion is murder, the more I am inclined to support a womans choice, does anyone else feel this way?
I do. It is the default conservative approach to use "buzz" words that activate strong emotions in politics. Words like: murder, terrorism, communism, socialism. You hear these words and either two things will happen. You will be scared into believing what they are preaching or you will see the ignorance and be repulsed by it.

Many conservatives want less funding towards welfare, telling people to "get a job". But they don't want the government to spend money to save jobs, or create more jobs, either. Can anyone explain this to me?
Many conservatives do not realize how many headaches they are avoiding by keeping welfare around. It's not a sympathy act, it's an insurance policy. There are not enough economic opportunities in poor areas. If the people in these areas do not have their living subsidized, they will resort to crime just to make a living. Answer to:
A UK study shows that society would likely benefit from legalizing all drugs - as well as saving $billions. Assuming this is similar in all western countries and governments need to save money - should we consider it?
The experts already support it in this country. The problem is there is no national support for such changes. The Drug Wars of the 80s turned out to be a failure but it was successful at scaring the public into thinking all drug offenders need to be locked up. Now we have over-crowding in our prisons and drug use hasn't left its normal trends...

Why hasn't there been another 9/11 attack on the US? I am asking in reference to this article which gives 8 different 'experts' opinions
http://www.slate.com/id/2208971/?GT1=38001
Because the threat has been over-estimated by the public due to the Neo-conservatives' scare-tactics to get re-elected during the Reagan and W. Bush administrations. The threat of Communism turned out to be a myth and the "Terror Alert Levels" were designed to get Bush re-elected. After all, isn't it funny we only fear these attacks when we have a conservative in office?

They need a purpose to gain back their vanishing support. This is how they will do it. For the next 8 years, they try to come up with reasons to bash Obama. Thankfully, Obama IS doing a good job so they will lose legitimacy.

Which would bother Jesus more? Allowing children to play violent video games, or letting them see bare breasts on TV? I've seen parents totally freak out over the nudity, yet they are willing to buy violently-themed video games.
Well many of us sucked on breast to get food so I would hope that just seeing a breast out of context would be ok. Second, what really is wrong with violent video games. I played them and I have no cases of assault or violence in my past? Violence was around before video games. Not all people who play violent video games go on to commit violence themselves. My answer is neither.

Answer to:
Are you anti organ donor?
No. Doctors don't allow one person to die just to save another. It wouldn't make sense to...either way one lives and one dies. There are not enough organs to go around and it is totally effortless on the donor's part. If you needed a transplant, you wouldn't want to die waiting for one so why do that to anyone else. It's the right thing to do. Be a donor.
