Since you have root furniture and wood trim, I would stick with a warm color that's bright but a little earthy. Try an off-white, or even a golden color (like mustard or honey gold) with white or off-white trim (if you're willing to paint that too). The room should look much brighter...

I wake up whenever my alarm goes off (after about the tenth time). It could be set for 8am or 10am, and I'd still want to sleep. I'm not a morning person. Lately I've been going to bed around 12 or 1am. Sometimes I wake up at 8 or 9, but I fall back asleep.
