This pen pal HAS written back. There have been times I've prayed then gone to my Bible - open it completely at random - and read the answer in the VERY SAME WORDS I prayed to Him in. This is not an unusual phenominon amongst believers. The Bible is considered a LIVING word from God and can speak to those who listen.

Once you get to heaven, do you stay in heaven? Absence from the body puts you in the presence of God who is in Heaven. You remain there until the end of the Tribulation when Jesus returns to physically rule on this Earth for 1000 years. All His saints return at the same time Jesus comes back. After the 1000 years of peace this Earth is destined to be destryed with fire and a New Earth is created to be our eternal dwelling place.
