yes and no. I found cutting out everything was easy for me (partially because ever since my childhood I never really enjoyed milk and other dairy anyways) except for sweets and baked goods. That stuff is pretty hard to cut out.

it depends on how new the piercing is, i personally NEVER leave a ring out of my belly for longer than it takes to change it, but you should be fine as long as it isn't brand new and you get a ring asap
