War veterans that come home and speak out against war... Do you think bad of them?
No. I think I'd have to walk a mile in their shoes and I haven't done that yet. I can only imagine that they have gone through hell and back. So much horror goes on in war and "we" do not even hear about it all. Even if we did, we wouldn't be able to fully understand because we do not have to experience it.

Are Christians over playing the victim card? If you believe in the separation of church and state you hate Christians... Say "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas... want to keep creationism out of Science class... I don't hate Christians.
Why do people who don't believe in God celebrate the birth of Christ? Okay, that wasn't an answer... I don't feel "victimized" but it drives me crazy that "the Christmas story" has turned into "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Oh no! Can't allow Christ to be involved in the celebration of His birthday... but hey, lets bring in a little fat guy...

Do you think the fact that someone has been abused as a child can be used as an excuse for behaving badly as an adult (and therefore excusable) or does society expect them to have learnt the correct way to behave?
If someone is using it as an excuse, then they already know they shouldn't be behaving badly. None of us can change what happened to us in the past but we are each responsible for who we are NOW. Some people do need help but they have to reach for it. There are reasons, but there are no real excuses for making the choice to behave badly.

I haven't requested child support from my boyfriend and he wants a paternity test. Its his but I feel it doesn't make sense being that he isn't doing anything for my baby which is due in a month. What do you think?
If you want to pursue child support and he won't cooperate without one, then you should do it.
If you honestly feel he won't make a decent (abusive, neglectful..)father and you don't need his financial help, then don't agree to it and get yourself and your child away from him.

The only way to prove a person unfit is to have REAL proof that they are unfit. Please don't try to make a case based on contrived accusations -- even if you feel the father should not be involved.

Is the trauma yours or theirs? If they have been traumatized, complete silence is a symptom and needs to be addressed with professional help. While some people have a hard time dealing with other people's pain, not even TRYING to help is a huge character flaw. Silence can be meant as a...

First, dogs are not necessarily smarter than cats. They just tend to be more obedient.
My guess would be that seeking out a place to bury it is instinctual in a cat and because dogs are more easily trained, they haven't developed that instinct. They rely more on us to help them out.

I visited my 30 year old daughter unannounced and caught her in wet and soiled cloth diapers with pink plastic pants sucking on a baby bottle. I was shocked. She said i have a diaper fetish. I ddin't know what to say. Please help me deal with this?
Oh you poor woman! That is such a horrible thing to happen to a parent! While a person's personal fetish is their own business, a parent should not have to SEE that!
All I can say is do your best to get it out of your head. Try to pretend it never happened. I know -- not so easy.

Interesting how many theories, fears and statements are made now that Obama is president. We never said anything about George B.-is it because he's white and someone we're 'used to?' Difference always unsettles people -incredible.
Honestly, I don't think we ever said anything about Bush because we know he isn't all that intelligent...
Obama has denied patriotism and won't even pick a religion. That gets people on edge, too. He does unsettle me, but it isn't his color that does it.

Yes. My 'best' friend is the one who doesn't blow me off for a guy, doesn't engage in gossip about me, defends me with her words and would with her fists if she had to... She calls me on my own stupid choices and then won't let anyone else tell me I'm wrong.
