I just returned from recycling aluminum cans. The instructions for recycling TIN cans includes: Remove labels, wash, remove both ends and flatten. Do AB people who recycle tin cans do all this? Isn't this more work & cost than the recycled can is worth? I don't see how it could be more cost. More work, sure, but not cost. All you have to do is peel the label off and remove the bottom of the can then step on it. I don't do it but that's because the place I recycle has never said to flatten them. I may start now though to save space just like with aluminum cans.

Im agnostic but i pretend im catholic because of my families background. So ill pretend to pray at my dads get togethers and he still thinks i am catholic...should i just tell him that im agnostic? I never really told anybody until the subject came up in conversation but I'm glad they know. I was raised Catholic, too so I'm kind of the bad seed of the family but I don't care. I feel better that I don't have to put on a show and nobody in my family ever talks bad about my beliefs.

How do soldiers in active combat deal with hearing loss? I know that if I fire a gun without hearing protection, my ears are usually messed up for a day or two. What kind of hearing protection do soldiers use? I'm a Marine and we use basic ear plugs on the range. Nothing fancy. And obviously, hearing protection isn't the first concern on your mind if you're firing in combat.

It's a small college town (Appalachian State) in the mountains and it snows here plenty. The first snow this season was the Tuesday before Halloween and our last snow of the season is usually mid-April.
