There was a lot of stupid questions on answerbag and sadly there still are, but probably one that really stood out and caught my attention was a bloke that asked a question regarding plants.
Now allow me to first qualify my stand on this. We all know that if you remove a kidney from a person and if you now focus on the kidney itself (not the person who is in pain without anaesthetic). Lets...

What is so great about fishing and hunting?
Fishing and hunting are only enjoyed by pedophiles. The same principle applies - enjoyment in overcoming and hurting the weak and defenceless, whether it be human or no-humans. When they are too scared to hurt children, their next legallised target is fishing and hunting other innocent vic.tims.
Hunters, fishers, butchers, animal farmers, all fall into the same class as pedophiles. This is the...

This question is analogous to asking why are Catholic priests are allowed to touch innocent children. Those who claim to eat anything that came from an animal for the purpose of calling it food, or as an ingredient in a food is like a police person who is doing business with a pedophile.

Now here's thought - a lot of carnivorous animals enjoys eating humans if they get the chance. Does that mean your so-called "God" created you as food for these other animals? If this is true then and only then can you say that you are created to eat other sentient beings, otherwise this God thing is simply used by evil people to "poorly" justify their harming of defenseless beings that share...

If you're going 100% plant-based, you might as well set yourself up to look super good by avoiding junk foods like chips (even if there is no animal products in there). Humans are not supposed to eat meat, this is shown by the fact that we cant eat raw meat unlike other carnivores. What do u think of this
Exactly and this has been proven by The China Study, led by T. Colin Campbell Ph.D, that even small introductions of animal proteins into the human diet would lead to cancers, heart disease and many other meat related diseases.
Humans are the only animals that deliberately defy what nature has intended for them to consume. No other creatures smoke harmful cigarrettes, sniff cocaine and take...

Who were you before you were you born!
If I knew that, I would have became a vegetarian the moment I was born, seriously. In our ignorance, we are eating something who in the infinite past was once or twice a mother or father to us, be it in human form or in any other forms. It is blasphemous and perversion to the extreme that we thank their parenting love by eating their flesh in this life when they exist in a form we can not...

The most significant and important thing in my life was waking up from the incessantly blind eating of animal flesh.

Answer to:
Vegetarians - if you don't like meat, why do some vegetarians eat meat analogues (soy bacon, sausages, burgers, TVP as mince)?
Most wonderful people in the world that turn vegetarian are mainly due to their righteous rejection of having to brutally rob the living flesh off from another defenseless non-human being. In the beginning stages in their vegetarianism, the most challenging for some would be to undo that strong meat-eating habit of the past. This old habit has been so strongly conditioned since childhood when...

It would be consistent with being a vegetarian if the eggs came from hens that will never be slaughtered but will be allowed to die of old age as pet animals do. I don't suppose you can expect much from people of the present culture that don't have a conscience in the barbaric murders of non-human beings everyday behind closed doors and the consequent perverted indulgence of their innocent flesh, to have any conscience about having to wash their hands for other's sake after they have wiped their bottoms or touched/fondled their genitals.

For any dynamic systems, a dynamic equilibrium will be reached where the number of animals will reflect the available food sources. There is no need for ignorantly arrogant human interference. I don't suppose the reason the dinasours died out due to the lack of human control on their populations.

2/1 = 2
6/2 = 3
42/6 = 7
1806/42 = 43
Therefore RHS = (nth + 1)
ie,
2
3
7
43
(1806 + 1) = 1807
Therefore 6th = 1807 x 1806 = 3,263,442 #
Took me within a minute to see the pattern. I don't believe it took an archtect and doctor that long.

Every living beings are born with only one body with which to remain alive inside it and it is therefore not to be robbed away. That body belongs to that animal and you have no right to rob that...

Meat is murder! No one wants to die for your plate. Don't force others to die for you. Don't be a big bad bully! You are a human being. Your evolution gave you the higher level of consciousness to understand that one should never rob and kill; yet you rob the lives of these weak and helpless...

If all Americans didn't eat meat for just one day a week, this would save the same CO2 emissions as 90 million plane tickets from New York to LA or from LA to New York. 90 Million tickets, each year, just by eating no meat for just one day a week!

What are some benefits of a vegetarian diet?
Eating a vegetarian or vegan diet is the most effective way to save our planet from global warming, much more effective than reducing it through transportation. 80% of global warming would be eliminated if all people on the planet eats a plant-based diet. Dr. Rajendra Pachauri,Chief of UN IPCC talks on a Win-Win situation for the people on the planet to cut out meat from their diet.
Answer to:
Why is it ethical to be a vegetarian if almost every animal dies from either starvation or eating another animal? We are made to eat both animals and plants and if we eat just plants we are taking food or habitat away from another animal?
Your question confuses the facts. Almost all the animals you eat came from the deliberate raising of livestocks. These animals don't starve to death because 80% of corn, 80% of grains and 95% of oates is NOT planted for human consumption but to feed the livestock animals to be slaughtered on your behalf; whilst the rest of the third world goes hungry. Is this ethical or selfishness gone...

Is PETA really winning its battles against cruelty to animals?
If you assume that the voice of the wider population in general can be represented to some extend by the voice against PETA among most ABers, then it would seem that there are too many selfish and even cruel people out there to be of any help with PETA's noble cause. Instead, these very people, often uneducated and easily brainwashed, are being used by the livestock and meat industries as...

Yes, if the person has a weak stomach for raw foods. Furthermore, most people in China have traditionally eat cooked vegetables only and the western raw salad was a very alien idea for them. I heard claims that buddhism is a branch of Hinduism. How is that explained?
The Buddha did not set out to teach just after his Enlightenment because the Buddha wisdom is virtually impossible to convey to human beings. Should vegetarian choose butter or magarine?
A vegetarian can have both, since butter is made from milk and does not take the life of the cow in the process. A vegetarian eats what does not come from the forceful robbing of other's lives.
A vegan on the other hand would only choose magarine since a vegan do not consume or use anything derived from animals.

Quorn - Does anyone know whether or not Quorn is vegetarian? I know it has whey as an ingredient, but don't know whether or not they derive the enzymes from veal calf intestine, or a microbial source. I'm just curious.
It is suitable for vegetarian. It uses egg white as a binder, it is not suitable for vegans.
Quorn is made from the soil mould Fusarium venenatum strain PTA-2684 (previously misidentified as the parasitic mold Fusarium graminearum). The fungus is grown in continually oxygenated water in large, otherwise sterile fermentation tanks. During the growth phase glucose is added as a food for the...

In fact, a heavy dinner is more metabolically suitable as a breakfast since you have a whole day of activity to put that to good use. Likewise, a light dinner is more metabolically suitable since you'll be going to bed in the next few hours. Have breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a pauper, is a healthy way to go but our society seems to have everything upside down....

No countries would give out aids without some political motives behind it. In the US, it is usually given out to selected nations for two purposes:
1) Political and international security to the benefit of the US.
2) Faith-based foreign aid to spread Christianity to these regions, which also ultimately links to a political benefit for the US as well.

Answer to:
Mahatma Gandhi said for vegetarianism that he would not let his body be a grave to dead bodies.. So why do we think its ok to eat meat? why dont we think of meat as "bodys"
"Dead bodies" or "meat", no one could argue that it is not made of the same substance except for appearance wise. It is strange every parents tend to pre-condition their child for life, after weaning from milk, with that taste for meat. The truth is meat is an acquired taste. Some vegans I used to know said they did not like the smell at all and infact find it disgusting....

How do you know if you`re dead?
You are never dead in the sense that not long after the body shut down, you'll be conscious again, but out side your body. The truth is you'll leave the old body and be attracted to be reborn into another womb. Depending on your karmic past, hopefully you'll still seek a human womb to be reborn into and not an animal born into a farm destined to die in a bloody way. Best to...

Perhaps you are referring to a type of obstinate personality that are afraid of changes to the comfort of their old believes. This type of personality lacks the courage to accept new concepts or ideas because they do not know how to integrate them into their old believes but sees it as a death of their old ways of thinking and it is uncomfortable to them, almost like a phobia of anything alien....

What do you think should never be wasted?
To those that are not vegans or vegetarians, among other foods, meat is the no.1 on the list that should never ever be wasted.
You do not want to have the innocent animal having forced to go through unspeakable pains and sufferings the moment it is born into this world to the moment it is slaughtered, only to have bits and chunks of its flesh thrown into the bin by wastefulness.

Then gradually we become more and more judgmental, peaking at maybe around 30 to 50 when we think we know more than the others. After that, in our senior years, like our youth, we again become less and less judgemental, not due to youthful innocence but due to the fact that:

Answer to:
Can innocence be bought?
In a corrupted mortal world, yes, innocence can be bought with enough power and money. But in the greater sphere of things, you'll eventually pay for the karma created from a harmful action. If you get away now, it will remain dormant for as long as it takes (countless lives times perhaps)to wait for an opportunity to exhaust it's effects on you.
Answer to:
Why do Karma come around when you dont care about the person that hurt you anymore? Why cant Karma come when you want it to?
Long lecture short: Just be a kind, tolerant, compassionate, generous and righteous person and your karma will adjust to match with your good deeds accordingly. Then you'll find that there is less obstacles in your life and everything seems to go your way, according to your wishes.

Does war ensure a nation's ability to survive? ( War in a sense of conquering smaller nation)
ABSOLUTELY NOT. You can conquer as many as you could militarily afford but you can never conquer the hearts of the people that love their countries. By senselessly going around taking what doesn't belong to you will get your own country into a lot of troubles later with these other nations. A powerful country needs to understand and practice self control and patience or it will be labelled...
