That is so scary, I am sorry you had such a terrible experience from something that is usually more harmless than alcohol, and can be used to treat numerous medical problems. It may have been laced with embalming fluid, or PCP, be very careful. I recommend growing your own for personal use.

I don't know of any colleges that REQUIRE you to live on campus...

I don't see anything wrong with this, especially if its part of your culture. My mom pierced mine @ 3 months.
