Enterprise, DS9, Voyager, TNG, TOS...From my standpoint, Enterprise got more deeply than ever into the tough moral issues and personal cost of dealing with the same. That was the hook there.

Enterprise's uniform and functional ship ROCKED. I loved that feel for that place and time. Fiinally, no carpets! Open staircases, ladders, walkways. No counselors or holodecks on on-board bar lounges...

CBS owns the rights to the "old" timeline (all the series and previous movies exist in), while Paramount has the right to the "new" timeline--that of the latest film. Due to agreements CBS COULDN'T put on a show till 2012 or so, but in this economic climate, with SciFi so expensive to produce...

I love The Rock Obama. It really did play off of an Obama foible--his incredible outward cool, SO far, too good to be true.
