funny story. when I was about 18 I was taking some accounts to another business.
I got a whistle, and someone said "wouldn't you like a piece of that!"
I turned around and saw that my dad (a construction worker) was standing next to the
guy who said that! I said "hi, dad, I didn't know you worked on this street?"
The guy turned white and my dad laughed his head off!

Men: Do you like being called "Sir"? Women: Do you like being called "Ma'am"?
I like being called ma'am. I taught my children that way, also. Also to refer to their grandparents by their last names with a cute first name if they wished "gramma," "nana," etc. Also to refer to aunts and uncles by "uncle or aunt" and their first names.
Unfortunately, my grandchildren call ALL adults including relatives by their first names.
It kills me when they do it.

Why do people drive slow in the fast lane?
My personal favorite thing to do (on regular roads with lights), is when the little darlings that just CAN"T WAIT to get around you and sit on your bumper, hit a RED light and have to stop.
I usually catch up to them doing the speed LIMIT and wave and throw them a kiss while pointing at the light!

Do you believe murderers sentenced to death should die the same way their victims did?
Now THAT would be a deterrent, don'tcha think. Have the coroner tell exactly how the INNOCENT VICTIM suffered and died . . . then let each cut, rape, beating, etc., that they gave, be carried out each week until THEY beg to die! Then don't let them die, commute their sentence and let them just live with their wounds.
Sounds fine to me.

You can't. The more you try, the more ounces are taken out of your purchases and the prices are raised each time they do. Stockholder Pigs.
Answer to:
When I grew up, honest weight was 1#, 2#, and 3# for canned foods.
Honest ounces were 4, 8, 16, 32, 64-oz. Please see explanation below.
Honesty is the key word here.
I have watched as the food companies have been taking out ounce after ounce of food from canned, liquid, and frozen foods; while adding a nickel or dime per item each time they do so. You are not getting the foodstuffs you used to get and are being duped. The latest was ice cream that has always been 1 pint, 1 quart, or 1/2-gal.

What factors led to the snake representing Satan and evil? I would think the fly would be a far more appropriate creature to represent death, decomposition, disgust and evil.
The snake represented a 'penis.' The devil wanted them to find sex. The snake was in the 'tree of life' that they were not to eat from. Makes just as much sense as any other.

If Jesus is the same as God; how do you explain 1 Cor.15:24 and 28: "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, … then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him (the Father)"?
I was always taught that god was the father and jesus was the son of god, or god, jr. Actually he was only a half-god, or demi-god.

I have experimented with different stuff, including foot soap. My face and neck are soft and cleaner that any other type of soap I have used. It is not perfumed and full of designer crap. Also plain old vitamin E (in liquid form) is good for a facial 'cream.' I won't buy lotions and creams anymore as they do Nothing except cost a lot.

What is your opinion of the saying "As a man Thinketh, So is he?"
Perhaps the part "So is he," pertains to when a person judges another person without basis. Thus transferring his feelings to another.
These can be either good or bad feelings. For instance, when a good person sees another as a good person when in actuality he is not, and therefore can be conned.

Which would be harder for you? To live in a world filled with super egotistical people or a world filled with people who didn't think they were so hot?
You can bring up people who don't think they're so hot, but you can't bring down to reality whose who are super egotistical, how boring. I would rather be around real people.

Would you kill a pedophile if you had the chance?
If a pedophile molested my child, grandchild, or any relative of mine, I would not kill it. But, I would maim it in a likewise despicable manner. When a molester does it's thing, it ruins the life of that child, period!
I would not hesitate for a moment to ruin it's life.

If you could commit any crime without guilt or remorse, what would it be (please be detailed)
If someone molested my child, grandchild, great-grandchild (or any small relative for that matter), I would not have any remorse in maiming them in the same exact manner. I wouldn't kill them. Then I would happily go off to prison where I would be Queen.

I live in the suburbs of a large city, have a great job, a big house, a hot wife, a fantastic child and I make a lot of money. What are two things I could do to absolutely screw up this dream life and lose everything? I only have two weeks.
Liquidate all your assets. Put them in the stock market. That ought to do it. Then go on a loooooooongng vacation overseas. Then wait to see what happens.
After the stock fails, and she divorces you because of it, go get another good job and make it up to the child only.

Are adages / proverbs always or usually true? For example does " only the good dies young" mean that anybody over 60 must be a real --------? Any example that seems contrary to you?
'only the good die young' because they haven't had the time to get bad, that's all.
'as a man/woman thinketh, so is he/she,' means that if a person sees bad in everything, then he/she is probably bad. if he/she finds good, then he/she is probably good.
