Answer to:
I'm about to propose to my girlfriend but I can't afford a diamond. Will she be disappointed if I propose without a diamond ring?
Love isn't measured in diamonds, rubies, and sapphires nor gold.
If your girlfriend loves you, then she'll be pleased with whatever ring you can afford to buy her.
After all, it's not the size of the ring nor the type of stone that counts, but the size of your heart.
Good luck!

My boyfriend of 3 years tries to tell me what to do, and where I can and can't go. He threatens to break up and tells me I'm his "bitch". I stay with him because I love him but I dont want to keep going on this way. What should I do?
Break up with him. No one deserves to be called those belittling, degrading names.
If necessary, then the seek the help of a local women's shelter. These can be found in the Yellow Pages of your local phonebook, just look under "women's shelters."
If he threatens you, then when you're in a safe, PUBLIC place, then call the police and file charges against him.
