My boyfriend is not abusive, but likes to pull me and push me around (when he consumes liquor). He often says (when sober) that when we are married, he will hit me if I get out of hand. Do you think that I should take what he is saying seriously? My ex was an alcoholic and acted similar. He was wonderful until he started drinking. He would get really drunk and violent and it didn't happen at first, but over time I saw his issues. Yes, please take it seriously and get away from him. If he has an alcohol problem, he really needs to get help and you need to protect yourself.
